Currently, the story is deep in the God Valley Flashback, which is, naturally, packed with some of the most important information, along with high-class action. It is safe to say that this is the peak of the Elbaf arc so far, and while better things may yet come later down the line when the flashback continues or when the story returns to the current timeline, fans will never forget the time Oda spent on drawing the legends of Rocks D. Xebec.
One Piece: Oda Has Already Hinted At Luffy's Tragic Fate 10 Years Ago
Luffy is One Piece's main character, but he has a dark fate ahead of him in One Piece.
One Piece chapter 1163 officially gave the fans a very exciting look at the main battle in God Valley, where Saint Imu Nerona has taken control over the body of Saint Saturn, and is going all out against some of the most powerful individuals in the whole series. At the same time, fans also got a good look at events all over God Valley, spanning over the remaining members of the Rocks Pirates, all the way to the Roger Pirates, Marines, and even some slaves. Amidst all this chaos, Oda went on to officially confirm two Devil Fruit users to fans. Both of these new Devil Fruit users belong to the Rocks Pirates, and they're Captain John, and Ganzui. In a chaotic battle, both unleashed their Paramecia ability to show the other who the real deal was.

One Piece chapter 1163 officially confirmed to the fans that Captain John was the previous user of the Jiki Jiki no Mi. As fans might remember, this is the same Devil Fruit that Eustass Kid has right now. This is a Paramecia-type of Devil Fruit that allows one to control magnetic waves.

It's True: Oda Had Another User For Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika In One Piece
Luffy isn't the only user of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika; Oda had huge plans for him in a One Piece movie.
Its awakening also allows one to freely assign magnetic properties to something, and all these things make the fruit incredibly overpowered. Captain John was heavily speculated to have this Devil Fruit when his scrap metal arm was shown in the last few chapters. Now, it's been officially confirmed.
At the same time, fans now also know that Ganzui, another member of the Rocks Pirates, was a Devil Fruit user. Ganzui was the user of the Bomu Bomu no Mi, which is yet another Devil Fruit that the fans have seen previously in One Piece. This Devil Fruit belonged to Gem. For those who don't remember him by his real name, he was the Mr. 5 of the Baroque Works, all the way back in the Whiskey Peak arc of the Arabasta Saga of One Piece. After Ganzui died, the fruit returned to circulation and was eventually eaten by Mr. 5.

Fans know very well that Ganzui and Captain John are both dead. It is unknown how Ganzui died, but Captain John is said to have been murdered by his own crew in treachery. His corpse had multiple swords stuck in it, which makes it look like it was a brutal mutiny, but given his magnetic Devil Fruit, it is also possible that he killed himself in an accident.
Regardless, both of their Devil Fruits have new users now. Eustass Kid has the power of the Jiki Jiki no Mi, and he's even managed to awaken it, while Mr. 5 is still flourishing as the current user of the Bomu Bomu no Mi.
