Oden’s backstory will forever remain a fan favorite, but now, with Elbaf heating up, another character is getting the spotlight, and his backstory might be even better than Oden’s.

Oden’s Story in Wano Was Incredible

The Chapters With Oden Were Some of the Best In One Piece

One Piece is known for having many incredible backstories, and while they're all great in their own ways, some stand out more than others. One such story that fans consider to be the best, or at least among the best, is that of Kozuki Oden.

This backstory was revealed during the Wano arc, and was certainly one of the best parts of the arc overall. Many fans thought his story would be interesting, but few anticipated it to be as good as it ended up being.

Oden’s backstory was also not a short one either. His story spanned over 15 chapters, from chapter 960 to 974. Quite clearly, that's a long backstory and took a few months to finish on the weekly One Piece schedule.

Some of the best parts of this story were definitely his early days when he recruited his scabbards, but also his adventures with some legendary pirates such as Whitebeard and Roger. His final execution will also remain as one of One Piece’s most memorable scenes ever.

Oden’s backstory will always remain iconic, but in Elbaf, a new character is set to have a backstory at least as good.

Loki and Harald's Backstory Could Surpass Oden’s

Harald is a Captivating Character

Loki Is The Accursed Prince

The One Piece manga has reached Elbaf, and Oda has somehow managed to surpass all expectations, once again. The arc has offered great lore reveals, but if that wasn't enough, Imu has finally made a move, and things have never been more intense. While all that is happening, the story has cut to a backstory, and all eyes are now turned to two characters, Harald, the late king of Elbaf, and Loki.

The latest chapter, One Piece chapter 1152 marked the beginning of Harald’s backstory, where fans started to learn a lot about him, but also many mysteries surrounding the One Piece world and Elbaf.

Harald is the father of Loki and Hajrudin, and the events around his death are still not fully clear. Fans are in for a ride as another long backstory begins that might even trump that of Kozuki Oden.

This story might also feature many legendary pirates as well, such as Gol D. Roger, Rocks D. Xebec, Whitebeard, and even figures like Garling, Shamrock, and potentially even Imu.
