One Piece is currently in the Elbaf arc, and this is a part of the story that fans had been waiting for for over two decades. Oda teased Elbaf long ago and finally, now, the story will head well into this phenomenal arc. At the same time, Elbaf is the first big arc of the Final Saga, with Egghead being the gateway to the Saga and Elbaf giving the readers their first taste of the war that is to come.
One Piece: Oda Has Just Revealed Imu's Biggest Weakness
Oda revealed that Imu has a major weakness. This weakness will be Imu's downfall in One Piece.
Undoubtedly, Elbaf has been absolutely brilliant so far, with the Holy Knights having made their move already, and more than that, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates having run into Loki too. There are more exciting things about Elbaf that are yet to be revealed. All that said, Elbaf will only set up the major wars to come in the future of One Piece. In fact, Oda has already teased the next big arc that could follow Elbaf, and fans are eagerly waiting for it.
Elbaf Will Take Two Years Or More To Finish
- The Holy Knights Aren't The Main Enemies
- Luffy Will Face A Bigger Threat
When it comes to the Elbaf arc, it has only been going for 8 months so far, clocking in slightly over 20 chapters. This arc has been absolutely phenomenal so far, with Oda revealing some of the most fascinating characters, and at the same time, introducing a ton of exciting lore to the story as well. One Piece’s Elbaf arc has also given the fans some very intriguing battles centered around the Holy Knights, which the fans have absolutely loved so far.

One Piece: Oda Reveals How He Almost Ended The Story During Dressrosa
The One Piece story could have ended abruptly during the Dressrosa arc. Oda reveals why.
However, if there's one thing that Oda has made clear, it is that the Holy Knights that operate in Elbaf right now, that is, Sommers, Gunko, and Killingham, aren't the main villains of the arc. Elbaf Will have far bigger enemies for the Straw Hat Pirates to deal with, and that means this arc is nowhere close to being over. Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are currently in the Underworld of Elbaf, which is where the plot points surrounding Loki will unravel slowly. As that happens, fans will definitely get to see a lot of other exciting stuff as well, and eventually, perhaps a major villain heading to the Warland as well.
The Next Arc Could Be The Pirate Island
The War On Pirate Island Will Begin Soon
While Elbaf will certainly continue for about two more years, fans know that what comes next will be even more chaotic. The Revolutionary Army has already moved into action against the World Government, but more than that, Blackbeard now has Garp in his hands and he wants to trade with the Government directly. Garp's capture, along with the threat that Shirahoshi faces, and the fact that Blackbeard is poking the World Government, all make for an inevitable conflict that will happen on the Pirate Island very soon. The Navy will fight against the Blackbeard Pirates, potentially the SWORD, and other major forces will be involved as well.
We lost Koby, but we have an even bigger prize! — Blackbeard
Knowing Luffy, he will definitely try to save Garp, and Pudding is in Blackbeard’s captivity as well. More than that, fans also know that Shirahoshi could face danger at the hands of Blackbeard too, which means Luffy has no choice but to take a short detour to the Pirate Island soon enough.
