Announced by the One Piece team on X, One Piece Grand Arena was confirmed to be the title of a new game in Roblox. Few gameplay details were included in the post, but fans can expect the upcoming experience to arrive this winter and the titular arena will support up to 20 players. The game’s official Discord server also confirmed gameplay would include “intense battles” featuring several characters from the source material, including Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, as well as updates on the roster, stages, and more are set to arrive in late August.
One Piece Returns to Roblox this Winter
One Piece Grand Arena was revealed during the franchise’s two-day celebration event, One Piece Day ‘24, which took place on August 10 and 11. Special guests at the event included virtual YouTuber Mori Calliope and collaborators Hiroshi Kitadani and Maki Otsuki, who performed the anime’s opening and ending songs. Additionally, concept art from the One Piece anime reboot was revealed alongside other updates on the project that could arrive as early as late 2025.
The game announcement was met with mixed reactions from the community, with some anime fans wanting a standalone One Piece game over a Roblox addition. Several players were also surprised to see this collaboration before an official Fortnite game, and others wanted to refine their Blox Fruits fighting styles instead of getting caught up in the hype of the East Blue adventure.
The grand arena experience will be the second officially licensed One Piece game on Roblox, after One Piece: East Blue Brawls was released in partnership with Netflix to celebrate the live-action series’ release.
