Gaban Seems To React to Imu’s Conqueror’s Haki
The latest One Piece chapter that dropped last Sunday, One Piece chapter 1151, was quite an intense ride, to say the least. Imu’s entrance on Elbaf has really shaken things up, and raised the stakes a lot.
With Imu joining the battle on Elbaf through the body of Holy Knight Gunko, they have been able to unleash their abilities on Elbaf.
Imu has showcased what seems to be their Devil Fruit abilities, like their demonic contract, but that’s not all, Imu has also demonstrated their powerful Haki, specifically their Conqueror’s haki.
This conqueror’s haki is by far one of the strongest seen in the series so far, second only to Joy Boy and Shanks's.
In this chapter, Imu unleashed their Conqueror’s Haki again, and Oda drew a small panel of Scopper Gaban reacting to it. His text bubble seems to imply to some fans that he has seen this before somewhere, which was definitely shocking to many. To fans’ knowledge, the Roger Pirates have never crossed swords with Imu.

Right now, there is nothing in the story that would imply or hint at a past confrontation between the Roger Pirates and Imu. Roger specifically never went after the World Government and Imu because he knew he was too early and that Poseidon wasn’t born yet.
