This article contains spoilers for One Piece's Final Saga.

One Piece is currently in the Elbaf arc in the manga, having begun the arc last year. The arc is already around 30 chapters deep, which is quite impressive. Elbaf has been going on for almost a year now, but it has, unfortunately, been halted at times by constant breaks from Oda, and occasionally due to other issues. August 10 is going to give fans yet another break, but many hope that this is the last break of August.

The One Piece Manga is Going on a Break

Oda Isn’t Taking a Break, But The Shonen Jump Magazine Will Be Unavailable

The last few weeks haven’t been too great for One Piece fans. After all, the manga has been going on a lot of breaks.

Last week, the manga returned from a break, but now, it’s going back on another break. Indeed, August 10, 2025, will not give fans a new One Piece chapter.

While most fans would be quick to point the finger at Oda, this time, it isn't down to him. Unlike the previous breaks, it is not due to Eiichiro Oda that caused One Piece chapter 1157 to be delayed. The One Piece break this week is due to the Shonen Jump Magazine not releasing a new issue.

There are a few occasions during the calendar year when Jump takes a break, like Golden Week, but this time around, it’s due to the Japanese Summer Holiday.

This is definitely unfortunate for One Piece fans, especially since, at the moment, excitement is through the roof in the Elbaf arc. Hopefully, after this break, there won’t be any more pauses in August. That said, there are no guarantees for that. Seeing the amount of breaks Oda has been taking on a regular basis, fans could be faced with more hiatuses soon. At this rate, it’s possible that One Piece will only have three volumes for the year 2025.
