Kraken's are massive, octopus-like creatures who dwell in the deepest and darkest parts of the oceans. It has been stated that they are known to destroy ships and have been the end of many pirate crews, though only one Kraken is currently known of in the series. This is Surume, who only joined up with Hody Jones once the Fishman threatened his family. Though he initially served as a major obstacle to getting to Fishman Island, he was eventually befriended by Luffy and found a new home with the Fishmen.

Sea Beasts are some of the most dangerous inhabitants of the entire ocean floor. They are titanic, hulking creatures that are very similar in appearance to land mammals, with the notable exceptions being their overwhelming size, fish scales, tails, and the ability to breathe underwater. These creatures are generally hostile and attack any target that is significantly smaller than them, though they can be easily dominated and made subservient. Dr. Vegapunk used many modified versions of these creatures named the Sea Beast Weapons.

Island Whales are massive whales that are found around the various oceans of the world. Though they just seem to be far larger versions of regular whales, they are actually quite intelligent, as they have been shown to appreciate music, make friends, and many even seem to have the desire to destroy the Red Line. Because of this desire, many Island Whales have scarred faces, the most notable example of which is Laboon. The reason they do this is still a mystery, but fans believe it ties back into the Void Century.

Sea Kings are the largest and most predatory of all the Sea Creatures present in the oceans of One Piece. Though often confused for Sea Beasts, these creatures are far larger and are reptilian in appearance, and they often prey upon Sea Beasts since they are generally considered to be the apex predators in the world's oceans. Though they seem beastly, they are intelligent and can communicate with one another quite well, and they revere and obey whoever the current holder of the title of Poseidon is. Sea Kings are implied to be a part of Joyboy's ancient plan with the Arc Noah, likely to take the Fishmen back to the surface upon Poseidon's command.

Fishmen are one of the most important races in the world.

Fishmen are one of the most prominent and important races in the entire One Piece world, as well as some of the most diverse. They can most easily be defined as mixes of humans and various kinds of fish, especially because they are all different in terms of how they look, which can take the form of either a mixture of human and fish features or they can be merfolk. Those belonging to the latter tend to have the upper body of a human while the lower body/tail of a fish.

A day will come when all races will unite, and humans will no longer look down on fishmen. Everything will be equal.

In the overall story of One Piece, Fishmen are one of the most important races in history. It is implied that, centuries ago, they used to live on the surface but were cast down into the depths of the ocean, where they have stayed since, serving the role of rulers of the ocean. The Ancient Weapon, Poseidon, manifests itself within the royal line of the kingdom through the Princess, who is born with the ability to control the Sea Kings and command them to do whatever she wants them to. This is why she and the Fishmen are essential allies for Luffy in the Final War.
