It overtook the likes of Solo Leveling, Takopi's Original Sin, The Apothecary Diaries, and Lord of Mysteries.
One Piece Episode 1136 earned such high praise because it marked the end of Bartholomew Kuma's flashback. It was the perfect way to end the most emotional backstory in One Piece history. It is worth mentioning that the rating is likely to go down over the next few days because anime fans have a notorious habit of review bombing other popular series.
The same thing happened to Lord of Mysteries Episode 3. Despite the episode arguably being one of the best, rival anime fans went to IMDb to review bomb it. They gave the episode one-star reviews, which brought down the overall number. Needless to say, review bombing is an awful thing, and anime fans should stay away from it.
One Piece Anime Will Take A Short Break
Following the conclusion of Bartholomew Kuma's flashback, the One Piece anime will be going on a week-long break. So, One Piece Episode 1137 won't release on July 20, 2025. Instead, it will air on July 27, 2025. The decision to take a break after Episode 1136 is a good one, as it will give fans some time to catch up and recover from such an emotional backstory.
However, when the anime does return, it will revert its attention to present-day Egghead Island, where the Straw Hats face the threat of Saint. Jaygarcia Saturn. The Godhead of Science and Defense made landfall not so long ago, and he immediately began attacking the heroes. Jaygarcia Saturn is a horrible human being, and he doesn't care about the lives of others. He has repeatedly called the people on Egghead Island insects, which is a clear indicator of his beliefs.

He also gains a physical advantage over his opponents. He can pin down people with his massive limbs and even gorge them. In addition to the Godhead, the Straw Hats have to deal with Rob Lucci and several Marine Vice Admirals. The heroes are clearly at a disadvantage, and they will need help. Nobody on Egghead Island seems strong enough to aid them, so some outside interference will be required. If they do not get any help, it's going to be nigh impossible for them to survive.
The Egghead Island Arc Will Reveal Many Secrets
It looks rather obvious that the Egghead arc will shed some light on some of the biggest mysteries in One Piece. Already, fans have seen the power of one of the Gorosei, and it's highly likely that things will only get more interesting from here on out. It is possible that fans will learn about the Void Century and Joyboy.
