Manganiello recently spoke with CinemaBlend to promote his new Netflix movie Nonnas, which also stars Vince Vaughn, Lorraine Bracco, Stanley Tucci, Linda Cardellini, and Brenda Vaccaro, to name a few. During the chat, he was asked about the live-action One Piece. Manganiello is joining the second season as Crocodile, and fans are already very excited to see him in character. He shared a brief update, which contained more than what fans were ready to hear. He said:

We've taken a break between season two and season three, so yeah, I'll be heading back later on this year, and we'll be working on the next part of the story. So that's about all I could say.

Manganiello mentioned Season 3, seemingly confirming that the live-action adaptation has more seasons in the pipeline. Netflix hasn't officially announced One Piece Season 3. In fact, there's no confirmed date as to when Season 2 will be released. However, the show is among the projects in the Tudum lineup later this month. In a post on X/Twitter in February, Pew announced that the live-action adaptation of One Piece was getting a third season. However, in a separate post, Pew acknowledged that Netflix hasn't officially announced Season 3 yet. But Pew was confident with its tweet because it was reportedly already listed on the Writers Guild of America directory.

One Piece is one of the most successful manga series. When the live-action was released on Netflix, it received the same love and support. Fans were delighted with the first season due to its faithful storytelling, high production, and compelling performances from the actors. It not only attracts longtime fans but also introduces new viewers to the franchise. The success of One Piece Season 1 on Netflix led to increased interest in the original manga and anime.
