This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf Arc.

The Straw Hat Grand Fleet is one of the most powerful forces on the seas of the One Piece world. Having been established rather recently, the Straw Hat Grand Fleet has grown tremendously in terms of power and influence and will continue to grow until one day, when they will cause a major incident on the seas, as highlighted by Oda himself. While the fleet is quite powerful, fans know for a fact that there is room for them to grow even stronger.

At the moment, the Straw Hat Grand Fleet has seven major commanders, but they will soon be joined by an even bigger calamity that will take their overall powers to the next level. This final commander could be none other than Prince Loki of Elbaf.

The Straw Hat Grand Fleet Is Slowly Growing In The Final Saga

The Straw Hat Grand Fleet Is Slowly Growing In The Final Saga one piece
  • Established in Dressrosa
  • Continuously gaining strength since

The Straw Hat Grand Fleet has been referenced here and there in the Final Saga, but fans have not seen them play an active role in the story yet. However, that isn't necessarily a bad thing, because Oda already highlighted after the events of Dressrosa what fate holds in store for them.

These captains would each grow in their own way, and one day, cause a major incident on the seas of massive proportions. But for now, that day is still far away. — Narrator on the Grand Fleet

For those who do not remember, the Straw Hat Grand Fleet was formed at the end of the Dressrosa arc, where seven mighty captains pledged their loyalty to Luffy by exchanging Sake Cups. From this day onwards, they became loyal servants of Monkey D. Luffy, and it goes without saying that their oath is for life. The Straw Hat Grand Fleet has not been seen in the story much since, but Oda clearly highlighted at the end of the Dressrosa arc that this fleet would continue to grow in strength and make a great name for themselves until a certain day, when they would cause a major incident of massive proportions.

This day has not come yet, so it is safe to say that the Straw Hat Grand Fleet is still growing with each passing chapter, even though fans aren't actively tracking their progress on the seas. They will soon be called into action, and when they do, fans will see their real might as a military force.

Loki Could Join The Grand Fleet As A Commander Very Soon

  • Loki is unwilling to join the Straw Hats for now
  • He will want to follow Luffy

At the moment, the Straw Hat Grand Fleet has seven mighty captains, and they include:

  • Cavendish
  • Bartolomeo
  • Don Sai
  • Leo
  • Ideo
  • Orlumbus
  • Hajrudin

It goes without saying that all these pirates are powerful in their own way, but they are most certainly not the elites on the seas. As such, the Straw Hat Grand Fleet certainly does need powerful additions, and this is where Loki could come in.

Up until now, Loki was chained away in Elbaf, and he could not sail the seas of One Piece like he used to before he fought Shanks. Now, however, he is truly free, and once he is able to save his home from the threat of Imu and the Demon Army, Loki will have two options in front of him.

I am the Sun God enshrined in the legends of this land. You will not speak to me without permission, human. I consider myself the strongest alive in the Lands. This is the Warland, Elbaf's Kingdom of Violence. The most powerful nation in the world which once lived and breathed warfare. And I'm the Sun God who brings the world to an end, Loki! — Loki introducing himself in the Elbaf Arc.

The first option for Loki would be to simply join the Straw Hat Pirates as the last member. This is a very popular idea, especially since Luffy himself has invited Loki to join the crew. If, for whatever reason, Oda chooses not to go down this road, then the best thing for Loki to do would be to become a member of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet.

Hajrudin, his half-brother, is already a part of the Grand Fleet, and it would make perfect sense for Loki to join it as well, and with that, ally Elbaf with the Straw Hats once and for all.

  • Loki is above Yonko level

If Loki were to join the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, it goes without saying that he would easily become the strongest member. Loki's strength is such that it rivals the Yonko of the One Piece world and actually goes even beyond it. In fact, Big Mom fully believed that if the marriage with Loki had gone through, she would have destroyed even the likes of Whitebeard and Shanks and become the Pirate King. This makes perfect sense when taking one look at the ability that Loki holds up his sleeve. He was able to kill King Harald, and he wields the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf along with the powerful Warhammer Ragnir. With these powers, Loki might even be above the level of the Yonko of the One Piece world, and that is truly a massive boost for any crew.

Loki himself wouldn't want to stay in Elbaf either. The fact is that he wants to avenge his father after he faced a miserable end at the hands of Imu and the World Government. Loki wants to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Rocks and Nika and bring about the destruction of the current world order. He cannot do that if he hides in Elbaf.

Loki's goal requires him to actively set sail on the seas, and that is perfect if he becomes a commander of the Straw Fatted Grand Fleet. Fans absolutely cannot wait to see Loki become an integral part of the Final Saga of the story, and Oda is sure to elevate his character to a whole new level soon enough.

Whether Loki joins the Straw Hats as their last member or as the last commander of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, it matters not. What truly matters is that Luffy will gain a monstrously powerful ally in Loki, and his overall influence on the seas grows even greater.

The Straw Hats Would Become Unbeatable

The Straw Hats Would Become Unbeatable one piece

If it wasn't clear already, with Loki joining, the Straw Hats are officially an undefeatable force in the world of One Piece. Even the likes of the Navy will struggle to deal with them, given their overall power. The Straw Hats themselves have Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, all three of whom can fight the elites of the One Piece world. Taking into consideration the other members, along with the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, it truly goes to show that their overall power is beyond the imagination of anyone. Luffy and his crew are certainly going to get very close to the One Piece soon and establish themselves as the mightiest force on the seas. All fans need to do is sit back patiently and wait for them to reach their full potential.
