The Elbaf arc is finally underway in One Piece, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see how the story develops further in this segment of the Final Saga. Elbaf is an arc 25 years in the making, which means that every single fan of the story has their expectations very high.
One Piece: 8 Characters With Legendary Ancestors
Some One Piece characters have some insane connections with legendary figures from the past.
For the Straw Hat Pirates, this arc is going to be absolutely massive, given that this could be their final obstacle before they go on to claim the One Piece. As such, fans expect them to grow dramatically in this arc, and each of them could potentially get a massive power-up.
Usopp
Power-Up: Armament Haki, Improved Observation Haki
Usopp is one of the weakest members of the Straw Hat Pirates, and certainly one who needs to grow the most. Elbaf is going to be absolutely massive for him, and fans expect him to fulfill his dream of becoming a Brave Warrior of the Sea. In the Elba Arc of One Piece, Usopp should awaken Armament Haki, at the very least.
He should also develop his Observation Haki even further, given that it is important for him as a sniper. Should come out of this arc as a fighter worthy of his 500 million berry bounty, and potentially an even higher reward.
Nami
Power-Up: Observation Haki
The navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates, Nami recently got the power up of Zeus. However, Egghead already proved to the fans that this is not enough. Nami needs greater power, and for that reason, she should at least awaken Observation Haki in Elbaf. Potentially, it would be great if Nami were able to improve the firepower of her Climatact even more.
Brook
Power-Up: Devil Fruit Awakening
Brook is quite a skilled user of his Devil Fruit abilities, and fans know that he is a capable swordsman. He hasn't had a chance to shine properly in the post-timeskip, and fans expect him to get a major moment in Elbaf.
Hopefully, Brook can tap into the power of his Devil Fruit Awakening and likely summon even colder chills of the underworld.
Chopper
Power-Up: Haki
Chopper has already mastered the various transformations that come with his Devil Fruit. As such, it would do him good to tap into Haki at some point in this Arc. Chopper certainly is not weak.
He even went head-to-head with Queen for 30 minutes in Wano, even though Queen wasn't taking him seriously. Still, for Chopper, getting Haki as a boost is certainly going to be enough.
Franky
Power-Up: New Weapons
Franky is going to benefit quite a lot in the Elbaf arc, and this is because Vegapunk is right alongside the Straw Hat Pirates. Due to his knowledge, Franky can potentially make even greater upgrades to General Franky, and at the same time, to his own body. Fans should expect Franky to come out with even greater weapons in Elbaf, and this will surely put him on the level of strong Yonko Commanders.
Robin
Power-Up: Devil Fruit Awakening, Haki
Robin improved greatly in the Wano Arc of One Piece, and she is most likely going to improve even further as the story continues. It is highly likely that Robin will awaken her Devil Fruit at some point in Elbaf. This is absolutely necessary, since Robin has tapped into just about every other aspect of power. It is also possible for Robin to get Haki, and fans have been waiting for that to happen since forever.
Jinbe
Power-Up: Internal Destruction Haki
Jinbe is a master of Fishman Karate and Merman Combat, and he also utilizes Haki on a very high level. However, Jinbei only has Haki of the basic level.
Strongest One Piece Characters Right Now (September 2025)
There are many powerful characters in One Piece, but these currently stand on top in the One Piece manga.
It would make him even stronger if Jinbe manages to tap into stronger versions of Haki, such as Internal Destruction. This would make him a monstrously powerful Commander of Yonko Luffy.
Sanji
Power-Up: Full Germa Mutation, Supreme King Haki
Predicting Sanji's power-up is easier said than done. However, Oda left the fans a massive hint when he said that he's going to develop further in regards to his genetic mutations. It is possible that Sanji will develop even greater genetic mutations in the Elbaf Arc.
At the same time, Sanji could potentially even tap into the power of Supreme King Haki, which is something that fans have been waiting for him to get.
Zoro
Power-Up: Better Haki Control
Zoro has received just about every power-up he needs to become the World's Greatest Swordsman. But, his control over his haki isn't good enough.
For Zoro, Elbaf will likely be a great arc where he proves his Haki efficiency and reaches a higher level.
Luffy
Power-Up: Devil Fruit Mastery, Improved Haki
The protagonist of the series, Luffy is also going to improve even further in Elbaf. Fans have already seen him get power-ups in the form of his Devil Fruit Awakening, which he has improved drastically. Luffy will continue to do that, and his control over Supreme King Haki could grow, since fans know that he has to learn how to damage the immortals in One Piece.
