One Piece: 9 Strongest Bloodlines In The Series

The One Piece world is absolutely massive, and over the years, Oda has revealed many families and bloodlines, some being rather recent, such as Luffy's Monkey D. Family, and some others dating as far back as the Void Century. While family name usually doesn't mean anything, some bloodlines are known to be incredibly special for various reasons. Some other bloodlines are legendary, and hold a lot of power as well as influence in the One Piece world, such as the Nerona Family or the Davy D. One.

Vinsmoke Bloodline

Known Members: Sanji, Reiju, Ichiji, Niji, Yonko, Judge

The Vinsmoke name might have lost some of its power in the present One Piece world, but in the past, it was one of the strongest. The Vinsmoke is a group of assassins who ruled the whole North Blue once, which is definitely quite impressive.

Their strongest known member right now is Sanji, even though he doesn’t claim the name due to his family history.

Kozuki Bloodline

Known Members: Oden, Hiyori, Momonosuke, Moria, Etc

The Kozuki name is quite big in the world of One Piece. After all, this name belonged to a legendary pirate, Oden. Oden travelled with Whitebeard and Roger, but what makes the Kozuki family stand out is their ability to read the poneglyphs, a skill that has been passed down through generations. They were the ones who crafted the Poneglyphs in the first place and their importance to the story is unmatched.

Charlotte Bloodline

Known Members: Big Mom, Katakuri, Etc

The Charlotte family is one of the biggest in One Piece, with over 86 known members. This family all started with Big Mom, a former Yonko. This family is strong, and most of its members belong to one pirate crew, the Big Mom Pirates. Despite Big Mom’s fall, this family remains strong with members such as Katakuri and Smoothie.

Harald’s Bloodline

Known Members: Harald, Loki, Hajrudin

Fans don’t yet know the name of Elbaf’s royal family, but one thing is for sure: it’s a powerful bloodline that dates back very far in the One Piece world. Harald was one of its members, and he was equal to the likes of Xebec. Loki is also powerful and needed to be taken down by Shanks. The only underwhelming member is Hajrudin, but even he might grow in power soon.

Nerona Bloodline

Known Members: Imu

Fans only know one member of the Nerona family, and it’s unclear if Oda ever plans to introduce more. Nevertheless, the one known member, Imu, is very impressive on their own. After all, Imu is the strongest known character at this moment in the series. The Nerona family lives in Marijoa, and hopefully, Oda will reveal more members of it soon.

Monkey D. Bloodline

Known Members: Luffy, Dragon, Garp

Monkey D. Is a name that has been prevalent in the story since the very beginning, as the protagonist, Luffy, is a part of this family. Luffy is now a Yonko, and there are other impressive members of this family as well. Garp, for example, is also a Monkey D. And probably the strongest Marine. The Monkey D. Family also has Dragon, a powerful revolutionary.

Davy D.

Known Members: Jones, Xebec, Teach

For quite some time, One Piece fans believed that Xebec and Blackbeard were from the Rocks D. Clan. However, it was recently revealed that the Rocks name is just a cover-up. In reality, these two descend from a legendary line, the Davy D. Bloodline. This family traces its way all the way back to the Void Century to Davy D. Jones.

Joy Boy Bloodline

Known Members: Joy Boy

With the reveal that Davy D. Jones has descendants, it has raised many theories concerning Joy Boy. Just like Davy Jones, Joy Boy must have a D bloodline running through some One Piece characters. So far, however, fans don’t know who that could be, but Shanks and Shamrock are popular ideas.

Figarland

Known Members: Garling, Shamrock, Shanks

The Figarland family is definitely one of the most impressive families revealed by Oda. This bloodline is one of the 20 families that founded the World Government and has been strong for 800 years.

Currently, fans know this family holds the likes of Garling: a Gorosei, Shamrock: a Holy Knight, and Shanks: a Yonko. The latter, Shanks, however, doesn’t use the name.
