When it comes to character diversity, One Piece is among the best in the world. Eiichiro Oda's genius has helped him to conjure up some of the most interesting characters in fiction, and they're not just limited to human beings. In fact, the One Piece author created a diverse world full of amazing characters that don't belong to the human race.
One Piece: 6 Strongest Devil Fruits Introduced In Elbaf, Ranked
These are the most powerful Devil Fruits that debuted in the Elbaf arc.
In addition to giving them a unique persona, Oda has also endowed them with extraordinary abilities, making them strong enough to compete with any human character. With that in mind, here are the strongest non-human characters in One Piece.
This post contains spoilers for One Piece.
Yamato
Race: Oni
- Can use all three types of Haki
Yamato is Kaido's daughter, yet she is heavily inspired by Kozuki Oden. Like her father, Yamato is an oni, meaning she is not a human, but that's where the similarities stop. She is a kind and compassionate person who hates tyrants. In fact, she joined Luffy in the fight against Kaido in hopes of stopping him from destroying Wano.
Yamato possesses the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Okami, which is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit. Furthermore, she also knows how to use all three types of Haki. After factoring in her Devil Fruit and Haki, it's safe to say that Yamato is among the strongest non-human characters in One Piece.
Ragnir
Race: Weapon
- Protected the legendary Devil Fruit for years
Ragnir is a new character introduced in the Elbaf arc. It is a weapon that consumed a Devil Fruit, which allowed it to turn into a squirrel. Ragnir was given the responsibility to protect Elbaf's legendary Devil Fruit, and it did so for centuries. It protected the Devil Fruit because it didn't deem anyone worthy.
One Piece: 32 Strongest Swordsmen, Ranked
Considering its swashbuckling setting, it's unsurprising that talented swordfighters populate One Piece. Here are the strongest of the lot.
Considering Elbaf birthed many powerful warriors, one of them should have been able to overwhelm Ragnir, but since the weapon was successful in keeping it away from them, it's safe to say that it is extremely powerful.
Loki
Race: Giant
- Has a legendary weapon and can use Haki
Loki is the son of Harald and the heir to the throne, but the people of Elbaf despise him for the alleged murder of his father, which is why they have shunned the young prince. But Loki has absolutely zero regard for titles or the opinion of others.
Loki's fiery personality is also reflected in his combat style. He is reckless and doesn't hesitate to go all-out in fights. Loki possesses Ragnir as well as the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf. Both these things are enough to cement Loki's reputation as one of the strongest non-human characters in One Piece.
Kaido
Race: Oni
- Was known as the strongest creature in the world
Kaido was the captain of the Beasts Pirates and one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. Before starting his own crew, Kaido used to sail with the Rocks Pirates but left after the God Valley Incident. Following the event, Kaido began climbing the ranks with his sheer physical strength.
One Piece: 8 Strongest Characters of All Eras
These characters defined their generations and stood out as the strongest.
Kaido also ate the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu, a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit, which bolstered his strength. He combined both of these abilities with his Haki, which made him nearly invincible in combat.
Harald
Race: Giant
- Was equal to Xebec in terms of strength
Harald is widely hailed as the greatest king of Elbaf because of his efforts to open the country's borders to the rest of the world. He put in a tremendous amount of effort in an attempt to erase the past sins of the giants and mend their relationship with humans. Unfortunately, Harald's plan wasn't exactly successful, but it wasn't a complete failure either.
Aside from his excellent leadership qualities, Harald was also a phenomenal fighter. In fact, he was one of the few One Piece characters who could match the legendary Davy D. Xebec in combat. As a giant, Harald's physical strength was superior to that of human beings and other races. Additionally, he had powerful Haki, which increased his overall strength further.
Zunesha
Race: Unknown
- Massive size with which it can destroy many vessels
Zunesha is a ginormous elephant who has been alive for many centuries. It knew Joyboy and was likely an ally of the legendary pirate. Following a betrayal, Zunesha was subjected to roaming the world continuously.
Zunesha does not have a Devil Fruit or Haki, but it hardly makes a difference to the creature as it is absolutely massive. A swing of Zunesha's trunk is enough to sink a fleet of ships without too many problems.
Shirahoshi
Race: Fish-Men
- Can control Sea Kings
Shirahoshi is the current reincarnation of Poseidon, meaning she has the ability to control massive Sea Kings. While Shirahoshi was born with the ability, she didn't learn to use it until the Straw Hat Pirates came to Fish-Man Island. Obviously, Shirahoshi wouldn't want to hurt others with her power, but there's no denying that she can use it to protect her loved ones.
The true extent of Shirahoshi's strength is currently unknown, but that will change soon, as she is one of the Ancient Weapons. Hopefully, Oda will reveal new details about her in the coming arcs.
Imu
Race: Demon (Likely)
- Is immortal and can utilize magic
Imu is the current ruler of the World Government, which means they have absolute authority over everyone who is part of the organization. Imu has been alive for centuries, and during this time, they have accumulated a ton of information about different topics, including the Void Century, Joyboy, and many other sensitive topics.
Since fans haven't seen Imu's face in full, there are obvious doubts over their physical characteristics, including their race. While it is highly possible that Imu is a human, there is no guarantee. Imu has many traits, like using magic, taking over the bodies of others, and granting new abilities to others, which suggest that they're not human but rather a demon.
