One Piece is currently in the Elbaf arc of the story, and given all the attention that's been shed on God Valley, fans know that it'll only get more exciting in the upcoming chapters. God Valley was first introduced to One Piece fans around 6 years ago, but its events were only truly revealed recently in One Piece's Elbaf arc.
One Piece: Oda Drops A Big Hint About The Identity Of Imu's Son
Imu might have a son, and his identity has been heavily hinted at in One Piece.
While fans at one point believed that God Valley was the story of Rocks, Roger, and Garp, it has now become clear that this island holds far more importance for two specific characters, and at its core, was played out specifically for these two characters, and they're Blackbeard and Shanks. In Blackbeard, Oda managed to preserve the blood of the Davy, who Imu deeply fears, but in Shanks, Oda might've actually preserved the blood of Joy Boy, something that no fan of the series has even thought of at the moment.

One Piece's God Valley has clearly become incredibly important in the grand scheme of things. Initially, most fans assumed that God Valley was the story of Rocks, and while that is the case in some ways, it's essentially a story of Davy as a whole. Rocks perished in God Valley, but a new Davy was able to live, and that's Marshall D. Teach, also known as Blackbeard.

The blood of the Davy lives to this day in Teach, and fans know that very well. It also makes sense why God Valley was called the “Island of Fate” by Oda now. Speaking of fate, however, God Valley isn't just the story of Blackbeard. It is also the story of two more important characters who happen to be twins, Shanks and Shamrock.
As fans know, Shanks and Shamrock were born in God Valley to an unnamed red-haired woman. This red hair is very important, and there is a reason why Oda never revealed the name or the face of Shanks's mother. Most fans tie Shanks to Celestial Dragon lineage due to Garling, but they fail to realize that his mother was from God Valley, the island of destiny.

The Yonko are strong, but this character can one-shot them in One Piece.
In One Piece chapter 1164, Oda specifically confirms to the fans that he fears two people the most: Davy Jones and Joy Boy. Imu also confirms that he wouldn't allow either of the two to come back at any cost. To parallel that, fans are shown two characters being saved from God Valley, and they're Shanks and Blackbeard. To add to it, Shanks is called the Child of Destiny. It may not seem like it on the surface, but Shanks could well be Joy Boy's very own descendant through his mother, who lived in God Valley.

Oda Directly Compared Their Haki In Egghead
Aside from the narrative clues left behind by Oda, there is more that ties Shanks to Joy Boy. In Fishman Island, Oda showed fans a silhouette of Joy Boy through Queen Otohime, and it looked exactly like Shanks, down to the hair and the cape.
In Egghead, Oda showed the fans a glimpse of Joy Boy's Haki, and the first person Dorry and Brogy compare his Haki to is none other than Shanks. The clues have always been there, and it is only a matter of time before Joy Boy is revealed to be Shanks's ancestor from his mother's side. This would also make Shanks half D and half Celestial Dragon, essentially making him the true child of destiny.
One Piece Chapter 1165 will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
