It has been confirmed that World Trigger will be getting a reboot, which is obviously big news for fans of the franchise. At the time of writing, there is no news about a release date, but fans needn't be disheartened, as the series will be present at Jump Festa 2026.

So, any kind of update regarding the World Trigger reboot will be shared during the event. The reboot will be made by Toei Animation, which also worked on the original anime.

The addition of World Trigger to the lineup is a clever move on Toei Animation's part, as it cannot rely on One Piece throughout the year anymore. The One Piece is only going to release a total of 26 episodes in a year, and they will be divided into two cours, with each one having 13 episodes. Since there aren't many anime titles that can fill the void left by One Piece, Toei has to do the best it can to keep fans busy, and frankly, the World Trigger reboot may do the trick. It is a solid anime, with plenty of action.
