One Piece is currently in the Elbaf arc and fans are thoroughly enjoying the story diving even deeper into the lore of the series. The Elbaf arc was always believed to be one full of lore, but hardly any fan of the story would've predicted for it to be as dense as it has been, lore-wise.

One Piece’s Elbaf arc continues to drop major reveals one after the other, and fans are waiting for Oda to reveal more exciting bits of information through Franky, as he continues his journey across the Adam Tree in Elbaf with Ripley. Just like many other chapters of the story, One Piece 1144 gave fans a glimpse of some massive stuff from the history of the world, and this time around, Oda touched upon the idea of Iron Giants once again.

One Piece chapter 1144 was absolutely massive right from the get-go, as fans saw what appears to be the scarps of an Iron Giant from long ago. The Iron Giants are not too unfamiliar a concept to the fans. After all, the Egghead Island arc gave them a good look at an Iron Giant, where they even got a good glimpse of its past. The body of an Iron Giant was on Egghead, and it was revealed to the fans that this body was being studied by Vegapunk. 200 years ago, this Iron Giant somehow attacked Marijoa, but eventually, it ran out of power and shut down.

However, it was later revealed that the time when this Iron Giant was truly active was actually around the Void Century. Luffy's Drums of Liberation helped the Iron Giant wake up once again, and he started aiding him, eventually being the only reason why the Straw Hat Pirates even escaped Elbaf. But, that's not all. Fans also saw a short glimpse of the Iron Giant’s past before the end of Egghead. Around this time in the story, Oda showcased the bond that the Iron Giant had with Joy Boy, the previous Nika, and how the two were incredibly close to each other.
At the same time, Oda showed the fans how Joy Boy stored his Haki in Emet, and how Emet failed to make Joy Boy the king, which was unfortunate. Eventually, Emet gave up his last bit of strength to aid Luffy and his crew escape from Eggheadnby unleashing a massive blast of Conqueror's Haki, and that was truly phenomenal to witness.
One Piece: Oda Confirms He Hasn't Revealed The Real Villain Of The Elbaf Arc Yet
Elbaf's real villain has not been revealed yet. Oda has kept it as a surprise in One Piece.
One Piece chapter 1144 also introduced fans to yet another Iron Giant, or at the very least, what remains of it. On the Adam Tree, there appears to be a science facility, which looks like it was made from the remains of an Ancient Iron Giant. The head of this Giant is unmistakably resembling a robot, and that's what caught the attention of the fans the most. Apparently, what's on the inside is even more exciting, and fans will most definitely see Franky explore large parts of it soon enough, which sets up an even more exciting phase in One Piece’s Elbaf arc.

Franky Will Help Luffy Just As The Other Giants Helped Nika
It is clear that the Iron Giants are linked to Nika in a very specific manner. Fans know that Emet and Joy Boy were very close and the latter always protected Emet. At the same time, it's been made clear that Emet tried to make Joy Boy King but failed. At the same time, fans also know that there exists the Iron Giant from 3000 years ago, which likely tried to do something similar with the real Sun God Nika. Clearly, the Iron Giants have a big role to play, and in Luffy's case, this Iron Giant is none other than Franky.

Franky, together with Vegapunk, will most likely upgrade himself greatly and perfect the Franky Shogun. With the power of Ancient Energy, and potentially more things, Franky will become a force to be reckoned with and fans are eagerly waiting to see that happen. At the same time, fans know that Franky holds the key to the Pluton, being the only one with the capabilities of building it from scratch. Franky will aid Luffy in the Final War in regards to the Ancient Weapons, at with it, the Motherflame as well. All this is certainly going to be exciting, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see that. It is only a matter of time before Oda gives big moments to Franky in Elbaf and later on in the Final Saga too.
