When it comes to the Straw Hat Pirates, One Piece fans know that along with Luffy, two fighters stand out more than the others, and that's Zoro and Sanji. These three are collectively known as the Monster Trio, and Oda has already established that they'll always be relative when it comes to strength.

This is because the dynamics of the Monster Trio are based on the strongest trio of the Roger Pirates. In Elbaf, it was confirmed that Roger, Rayleigh, and Gaban were all in the same tier of strength. It was also confirmed that Rayleigh and Gaban were equals, although Gaban firmly believes that he is second only to Roger. Gaban and Rayleigh’s strength is also legendary. Rayleigh believes his younger self could've taken down Yonko Blackbeard with two Devil Fruits, while Gaban could've wiped out 3 Holy Knights in the blink of an eye. Clearly, these are characters above the average Yonko tier, and Zoro and Sanji will be similar.

Zoro vs Mihawk is the most anticipated battle, but it will not be Zoro's hardest fight in One Piece.
In the case that Loki sails with the crew, Zoro and Sanji will have to work to surpass him, but for now, he'll be above them. This is because not only does he have a bounty of 2.6 billion berries, which is practically Yonko tier already, but also, fans have been repeatedly told that he can wipe out the entirety of Elbaf and possibly even destroy the world.

While Loki is currently stronger than both Zoro and Sanji, if he does join the crew, he'll eventually be surpassed by both. This is because Oda values the Wings of the Pirate King dynamic more than most, and Zoro and Sanji will always be Luffy's two best men, and serve as his sword and shield, no matter what.
