Another week, another batch of video game deals. With Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus Extra offering massive libraries at the click of a button, traditional sales are no longer as exciting as they used to be. However, subscription services ultimately only cover a tiny percentage of everything out there, and certain games will never be added to them. Furthermore, if you want to be able to play something whenever you want, you need to buy a license.
Gaming is expensive, but most platforms regularly stage events that present steep discounts. Basically, every week includes a couple of major bargains across all major consoles and PC, and deals on open-world games are very common. If you are looking to get a lot of content for your buck, this genre is the one for you. Let's highlight the best PS5, Xbox, Switch, and Steam sales available right now.
Here are some notes and criteria:
- Only digital stores: PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Nintendo Store, and Steam.
- To be considered, a deal must be available for at least 24 hours after this article's publication.
- If a deal runs for the entire week, no date will be included.
- If a deal ends earlier than the end of the week, a date will be listed. This includes open-world game sales that end on August 31.
- The information is based on the prices found in North American stores. Deals might be different in other regions.
- New deals might become available as the week progresses.
Best PS5 Open-World Games Deals
Forza Horizon 5, Haven, Lost Judgment, & More
Most of the available PS5 open-world deals are only until August 28, so you will need to act pretty quickly to pick up these projects. There are some pretty good offerings as well, including Forza Horizon 5 being 30% off as the deal of the week. As (almost) always, quite a few Ubisoft open-world games are on sale, most of which are PS4 releases like Black Flag and Watch Dogs 2. That said, Assassin's Creed Valhalla + Watch Dogs: Legion Bundle is the definition of bang for your buck, as long as you are into these types of games. Judgment and Lost Judgment are also on sale for great prices.
As there aren't all that many PS5-only games on sale, we've also included PS4 titles since they can be played on both consoles.
