How to Get More Advanced Decryption Keys in The Outer Worlds 2
Advanced Decryption Keys can be obtained by either purchasing them in limited amounts from vendors, or by finding them in the open world. The most common way to find them is to look in buildings and try and find any chests or containers that are locked and require lockpicking, a keycard, or other security device to open.
For example, one of these can be found in the Skycutter A102 on Paradise Island. When you enter, head downstairs and in the back right corner, you can find a box that requires five different cards to open. All of these cards can be found on corpses within the building. Once you've got them all, return to open the box, and you'll get an Advanced Decryption Key.
As noted, Advanced Decryption Keys can also be purchased from the vending machines dotted throughout worlds and buildings, as well as from actual vendor NPCs. These cost 1,000 Credits, to purchase as standard.
If you have a negative trait like 'Consumerism,' you can reduce the purchase price of the Advanced Decryption Keys. With that trait, for example, it'll drop them by 15% down to 850 Credits.
What to Do with Advanced Decryption Keys in The Outer Worlds 2
Once you have these keys, you can return to the Incognito and interact with the machine in the corridor that leads in and out for the ship. Here, you can use Advanced Decryption Keys to unlock a High Security Lockbox. It's worth noting, though, that the number of Advanced Decryption Keys varies from lockbox to lockbox. For example, one might only require you to have three Advanced Decryption Keys to unlock, while another may require eight. You can cycle through the High Security Lockboxes in the machine by using the arrow buttons on its left-hand side.
As such, it's recommended that you buy Advanced Decryption Keys whenever you see them available for sale (and can afford them). I'd also recommend thoroughly exploring buildings and caves for chests or hidden areas, in case you can find one lying around.
