The Last Voyage of the ACS Free Market is a side quest in The Outer Worlds 2 that tasks you with trying to figure out what happened during... Well... Its last voyage. You'll need to investigate a number of different parts of the location to find evidence that paints the picture of what happened and led to the crash. In this guide, we'll show you where to find the five pieces of evidence to complete the quest and get the reward from Archivist Stallworth in The Outer Worlds 2.

There are six Outer Worlds 2 factions, some of which have a reputation system that players can progress and gain favor with.

How to Start The Last Voyage of the ACS Free Market Quest in The Outer Worlds 2

To start the quest, you need to speak to Archivist Stallworth. She can be found on the path leading into the main bazaar area of the Free Market Station on the right when you're approaching from your ship. Speak with her and she'll ask for your help gathering information from a few different locations around the station.

Where to Find All Clues for The Last Voyage of the ACS Free Market Quest in The Outer Worlds 2

There are five pieces of information you can find (though it is possible to complete the quest with fewer) across the station. Some of these are easier to get than others, while some require relatively high skill checks to obtain. As you can pick this quest up relatively early on in your adventure, you may need to come back later once you've leveled your skills up more to complete it.

Buried Audio Log

The first piece of information you can come across can be found by heading towards the bazaar from Stallworth and taking the second left into an area with lots of wreckage on the ground. On the left side when you head in here, you'll find a pile of debris on the floor you can interact with.

As long as you have either the Brawny trait or Sneak level 5, you can get the log.

Engine Debris

In the same area on the opposite side to where you find the Buried Audio Log, you can find some Engine Debris. As long as you have Engineering level 8, you can inspect the afterburn coils and interior combustion lattices that indicate some sub-par engineering may have played a part in the incident.

Otto's Intel

To reach Otto's Note, look for a small opening in the debris near to where you found the Buried Audio Log. Head down towards the bottom of this area to find a ladder that least upstairs. You'll then have to solve his rather complex door lock puzzle. This requires flipping switches in a specific order, which we've detailed in our Otto's Lock Puzzle solution guide. Once you've unlocked the door, you can find a datapad on the floor that provides some further information.

With this done, head to the Bazaar and make your way to the north side where you'll find an elderly, white-haired man named Otto. Tell him that you've read his datapad and he'll then share the information with you. You can also get him to spill the beans if you have Engineering level 5, or spend 1,000 Bits in his shop, but reading his diary is far easier (and cheaper).

Sub-Rosa Terminal

The Sub-Rosa terminal requires you to get into the basement of the Second Choice saloon, which can be found on the left side of the bazaar as you enter it. While there is a way to get a key and open the door that leads down there by speaking to the bartender, the easier way to get in is to head into the bathroom at the back of the bar and use the vent high up on the wall to reach the stairs that lead down.

Head down the stairs, and before you enter the main room, you'll find a Sub-Rosa member asleep on a desk with a terminal next to him. Interact with the terminal and use a Bypass Shunt and Hack level 8 to read all the messages.

If you don't have Hack level 8, you can pickpocket the sleepy Sub-Rosa member for the password. Or, if you're a little bloodthirsty or just thrive in chaos, you can kill him and just take it off his body.

Prospero Paolo's Information

The fifth and final bit of information can be obtained by speaking to the white-haired man in the Second Choice saloon. He'll tell you that he has some information if you're able to get him a bottle of Iceberg Aged Whiskey. This can be obtained by heading to the bar on the opposite side of the bar and speaking to the robot bartender. He'll say that only Prospero Paolo can collect the whiskey, but you can fool him by either having the Innovative trait, or Hack level 3 and selecting the corresponding dialogue option.

Alternatively, if you have Lockpick 5, you can break into the safe behind the bar and steal it, but this is the riskier option.

With the whiskey acquired, return to Prospero Paolo, and he'll share his information with you.

Returning to Archivist Stallworth

Make your way back to Stallworth and let her know you've gathered all the information. Each time she asks you a question, respond with the answer that is clearly based on the information you found. The more 'correct' answers you give to her questions, the more XP you'll earn from the quest.

Unfortunately, it turns out that Archivist Stallworth's report wasn't purely for historical purposes, but for the gain of the Order. She'll explain her reasoning, and you can either choose to attack her, which will cause her and a few other Sub-Rosa guards nearby to turn hostile, or just agree to disagree. If you have Speech level 3, you'll have another dialogue option where you ask her to put in a good word with her fellows and you'll let it slide. This gets you a boost with The Order and you can walk away with the quest completed and some XP to your name.
