What Is the Max Level Cap in The Outer Worlds 2?

The max level cap in The Outer Worlds 2 is level 30. While this might come as a shock to some players, this falls largely in line with the level cap from the original game, which started out a lot lower before receiving a few boosts until its eventual 99 level cap in the Spacer's Choice edition.

The reason for the lower level cap? As is the case with the first game, The Outer Worlds 2 isn't some enormous, sprawling RPG. It's plenty big enough, but it's meant to be more of a compact adventure, and as such, developer Obsidian Entertainment has opted to keep the level cap in line with what players are likely to hit by exploring the majority of the content, without needing to endlessly grind out enemies for the sake of XP.

For players who do reach the max level cap in The Outer Worlds 2, they'll be rewarded with the aptly-named 'Level 30' trophy and achievement.

Will The Outer Worlds 2's Max Level Cap Be Raised in the Future?

At the time of writing, Obsidian has yet to confirm the details of the two confirmed DLCs. However, it's worth noting that its predecessor resulted in level cap increases to give players something to work towards if they'd reached the original max level. As noted, no details on the DLC have been confirmed beyond them being story expansions.
