There are four main missions in The Outer Worlds 2 that are categorized as collection quests, one in each region. One on Paradise asks players to collect Science Magazines, one on Golden Ridge asks players to recover Murals, and one on Cloister asks players to find Excogitation Logs. Where to Start 'Fiddling With Fulgurating Fulminations' in Outer Worlds 2

Outer Worlds 2 All Praetor Lightning Towers Grounding Stations Start

To start the Fiddling With Fulgurating Fulminations mission, Outer Worlds 2 players have two options: either talk to Exemplar Simon (of the Order of the Ascendant) at the Grounding Station in the southeast of the zone, or find and repair a Lightning Tower independent of talking to Exemplar Simon.

To get to the Grounding Station and meet Exemplar Simon, head to the far east of Praetor, between the Auntie's Choice settlement in the southeast and the central Automech facility. Follow the path that winds behind the Grounding Station to reach Exemplar Simon in the raised lift.

If you are able to locate and fix a Lightning Tower before meeting Exemplar Simon, you will automatically start the Fiddling With Fulgurating Fulminations mission. However, you must find your way to Exemplar Simon upon completing the mission to get the rewards.

Outer Worlds 2 Lightning Tower 1: Southeast of the Tomb of the Matriarch

  • Location Notes: The Grounding Station at this location is missing a part. To get this part, you must venture to the east and into a Scrapper camp. Defeat the Scrappers, get the Replacement Part off of a table, then put it back into the port at the station to activate this terminal.

Outer Worlds 2 Lightning Tower 2: West of the Northwestern Bridge

  • Location Notes: The path to this area is infested with Verachnids - the main bug enemy on Praetor. Quick-save before you make your way up the hill to this Grounding Station in case you get swarmed.

Outer Worlds 2 Lightning Tower 3: Southeast from the Grounding Tower

  • Location Notes: The area surrounding this Grounding Station is infested with Mantid enemies (though not nearly as many as the previous Lightning Tower). Defeat these wasps, then enter the station to recalibrate the nearby Lightning Tower.

Outer Worlds 2 Lightning Tower 4: South of Automech Facility

  • Location Notes: The door to this Grounding Station is locked. You must either have a high enough Lockpick skill to break open the front door, or navigate to the rooftop and drop down. Be careful of the warring Raptidon and Protectorate enemies around this area.

Outer Worlds 2 Lightning Tower 5: South of the Rift Modulator Location

  • Location Notes: To get to this Grounding Station, you must have found the Rift Modulator. This can be found at the facility just to the north of the location marked on the map above. Once acquired, use it on the Rifts around the Grounding Station to give yourself a way to jump onto the top of the station. Drop down inside to recalibrate the nearby Lightning Tower.

What Do You Get For Finding Every Grouding Station in Outer Worlds 2?

Outer Worlds 2 All Praetor Lightning Towers Grounding Stations Reward Storm Grenades

For completing the Praetor Grounding Station mission, Outer Worlds 2 players will earn a chunk of XP and a handful of unique Storm Grenades, as well as the recipe to craft them. Storm Grenades are unique because they stick to enemies, increasing incoming Shock damage and calling down the lightning storms of Praetor if used while on the planet.

Exemplar Simon gives you 10x Storm Grenades for completing the mission. To get more, you will need to combine 1x Voltspore, 3x Energy Canister, and 1x Black Powder at a crafting bench.

You will also unlock the 'Praetor Towers Powered' achievement, which is a Bronze Trophy on PlayStation and worth 15 Gamerscore on Xbox.
