Venture and Juno both have some special voice lines in Overwatch 2 right now thanks to the April Fools’ Day game mode’s return for the anniversary event. April Fools’ Day may be months away, but Overwatch 2 fans can hear the last couple of new heroes' comedic voice lines in the game right now for a limited time.
Every year for April Fools’ Day, Future Earth gets a little silly. Heroes in Overwatch 2 get googly eyes, Ultimate voice lines are replaced by jokes, and Blizzard reveals comedic patch notes full of memes and goofy references. Overwatch 2 even took it a step further with Balanced Overwatch, an Arcade game mode where the April Fools’ Day patch notes become a reality.
Overwatch 2 Fans Left Frustrated Over Botched Netflix Series
Overwatch 2 fans express their dismay over the revelation that a Netflix series set in Future Earth was reportedly canceled back in 2020.
Now, Balanced Overwatch is back for Overwatch 2’s second anniversary event – and it brought with it some brand-new voice lines. Venture and Juno both came out after April Fools’ Day 2024, so their joke Ultimate lines were previously a mystery. However, both heroes are in Balanced Overwatch, meaning players can now hear these hilarious lines. Overwatch 2 fan Creo.ow captured all six pieces of dialogue and shared them on TikTok, including allied and enemy Ultimate lines for both, and two different variations of each for Juno.

These aren’t the only new voice lines Overwatch 2 players have discovered in Balanced Overwatch. OW2 fan LCapussi discovered a hilarious interaction between Venture and Winston where the heroes repeat their names back and forth a couple of times before the former quietly asks their teammates if the simian scientist is all right. This dialogue seemingly only occurs in the spawn room during this mode, making it exceptionally rare to hear normally.
Needless to say, fans got a kick out of these hilarious voice lines and interactions. While all of them are quite comical, Juno making reference to the 2019 “raid” on Area 51 by saying “They cannot stop all of us” was by far the most popular of the bunch. The charming lines have only endeared players to Venture and Juno in Overwatch 2 even more than they already were.
Unfortunately, neither Venture nor Juno received any changes in the Balanced Overwatch rerun, so both heroes use their normal abilities in the game mode. Even so, hearing these hilarious voice lines is enough incentive to play them, so players should be sure to do so before the game mode goes away on October 8 for the last week of the Overwatch 2 anniversary event – or else wait until April Fools’ Day 2025.
