During the reveal trailer for Season 14, Overwatch 2 teased a collaboration event with Avatar: The Last Airbender, the popular 2005 cartoon series featuring the elemental adventures of Aang. Though a handful of leaks circulated in the interim, little official information was available, save a December 17 start date, and skins for Aang and Toph, the latter of which was presumably the “really exciting” Venture skin teased back in Season 12.

Now, Overwatch 2 has officially revealed the skins coming in the Avatar: The Last Airbender collaboration. The confirmation came in the form of a charming animated short featuring the six new skins – Aang Zenyatta, Appa Orisa, Katara Mei, Toph Venture, Suki Kiriko, and Zuko Genji – playing tag on the Nepal map. The trailer ends with Zuko Genji being tossed a cabbage in a reference to the unlucky Avatar: The Last Airbender merchant.

The Overwatch 2 x Avatar: The Last Airbender skins arrive on December 17 along with an in-game event. Considering how popular Avatar: The Last Airbender is, it is no surprise fans are excited about this collaboration. While some players would have liked to see skins for other popular Avatar characters like Sokka or Azula, many are calling this one of the best crossovers in Overwatch 2 yet, due to the quality, quantity, and overall theme of the skins. It seems Overwatch 2 is setting a high bar with the Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover, so hopefully, future collaboration events can meet and exceed fan expectations.
