Overwatch 2's Competitive Drive Events, Explained
In Overwatch 2, Competitive Drives are a new type of event that will occur in each season of the game, usually taking place in the final weeks of a Competitive Season. To participate in Competitive Drives, players simply have to continuously play games of Competitive Play - Role Queue.
Upon doing so, players will receive Drive Score after each win or loss in Competitive Play. The Drive Score earned will be equal to 10x the Skill Rank Percentage gained after every match. For example, if you win a match and gain +22 percent towards your next rank up, you will also receive 220 Drive Score points. On the other hand, if you lose a match and receive -22 percent towards your next rank up, you will also lose 220 Drive Score points from the total you have accumulated throughout the current Competitive Drive event.
Upon accumulating specific amounts of Drive Score to meet "checkpoints," players will receive bonus rewards, which may be bundles of Competitive Points or the new Signatures item.
After meeting a checkpoint, you can no longer lose Drive Score below that threshold, and all Signature rewards gained will be available for you to utilize on your player profile until the next season's Competitive Drive event takes place.
