Summary

  • Overwatch 2 players can unlock voice lines for their heroes and enjoy banter between characters, such as D.Va and Junkrat.
  • A rare voice line for Doomfist has been discovered, requiring specific criteria to unlock.
  • This interaction is exclusive to Overwatch 2 and may have been overlooked by some players due to the distractions of gameplay.

An Overwatch 2 video has highlighted an incredibly rare voice line for Doomfist. Each Overwatch 2 hero has voice lines that they can unlock, but the characters will also banter among themselves if certain criteria are fulfilled.

Like its predecessor, Overwatch 2 features many voice lines that players can equip to express themselves on the battlefield. Among these voice lines is D.Va asking if she's playing easy mode, Junkrat mimicking a clock's tick-tock, and an assortment of beeps and boops from Bastion. Beyond these audio tracks that can be equipped, the characters can have interesting dialogue, like when Zarya challenges Reinhardt to an arm wrestling match. While many of these interactions have been highlighted by members of the Overwatch 2 community, one player has seemingly discovered another instance of this bantering.

Overwatch 2 Producer Reveals Major Console Improvements Are in Development

Jared Neuss, executive producer for Overwatch 2, comments on what Blizzard is doing to remedy the game's console-specific issues.

Reddit user Calm-Key2837 recently shared a clip spotlighting a unique interaction between Overwatch 2 Tank hero Doomfist and Support Moira. After completing three specific tasks, Doomfist will tell Moira that they "must replicate this Nano Boost." Though many similar instances of battlefield dialogue have been unearthed by other players, this voice line is incredibly rare. To achieve this interaction during a match, fellow Support hero Ana must be on the same team as Doomfist and Moira. From there, Doomfist has to get a multi-kill while Nano Boosted by Ana. The third requirement is that Moira needs to be alive and near Doomfist when the multi-kill is accomplished.

Calm-Key2837's clip shows the perspective of Overwatch 2's Ana, Doomfist, and Moira, swapping between the three rapidly. After shooting a few enemies while pushing the payload, Ana Nano Boosts Doomfist. Doomfist immediately takes a shot at Roadhog and pursues the enemy Ana with a charged Power Punch and Seismic Slam. The multi-kill is completed when Doomfist kills the enemy Kiriko with a fast Power Punch. Moira is completing her Ultimate ability when Doomfist speaks to her, but neither Ana nor Moira responds to it. With most of the enemy team defeated, Doomfist and Moira then chase after the Roadhog before the clip concludes.

Because of how many things are required for this dialogue, few players may have heard it while playing the game. Given that a multi-kill is one of the prerequisites to it, the few players who have received it may have been too distracted by gameplay to pick up on it. Despite the three heroes being among the original Overwatch roster, it seems like this interaction is exclusive to Overwatch 2.
