An Overwatch 2 player has discovered that a previous Mei glitch involving a shark on the Blizzard World map can now be performed with Hazard. Over the past couple of years, Overwatch 2 has featured some infamous glitches, but this shark one that requires playing Hazard appears to be more amusing than anything else.
With Season 14 coming on December 10, Overwatch 2 will soon add Hazard to the roster. As the next Tank for the hero shooter, Hazard has a suite of abilities that should help him control space on the game's various maps. While he is officially joining the roster with the start of the new season, players have already had the opportunity to test his kit. Recently, one player discovered the Tank has revived a classic glitch.
In a post on Reddit, a user known as Tewps shared a video from their time playing on the Blizzard world map. Notably, this location previously featured a hilarious glitch that allowed Mei to shoot her Ice Wall at a shark, with the impact causing the fish to swing chaotically on the pole to which it was attached. While that glitch appears to have been removed for Mei, Tewps has discovered that a new one that does the same thing can be done by using one of Hazard's abilities in Overwatch 2. Specifically, using Hazard’s Jagged Wall, an ability that allows him to deploy a barrier similar to Mei, the player could make the shark behind the first point on Blizzard World begin flailing erratically.

This hilarious glitch has caught the attention of the Overwatch 2 community on the game’s subreddit. With more than 2.7K upvotes, many enjoyed the discovery and wanted to try it for themselves. Fortunately, Tweps did not mention the shark glitch impacting gameplay, meaning it could be nothing more than a harmless bug. Time will tell if Blizzard decides to keep the glitch or if it will be patched out in a future update. Regardless, fans seem to be enjoying the oddity on the Blizzard World map while it lasts. In addition, it begs the question of whether there are other strange things Hazard might be able to interact with on Overwatch 2 maps.
Beyond this funny glitch, it will be interesting to see how Hazard fits in with the rest of the Overwatch 2 hero roster once Season 14 launches. While the character's kit looks like it could have potential, fans will likely have to wait and see how it changes the game’s meta. Hopefully, Hazard's implementation will go well for those who want to check out all Season 14 has to offer.
