Summary

  • Overwatch 2 Support hero Juno will be added with Season 12 on August 20.
  • New hero Juno's kit includes Glide Boost, Hyper Ring, and Orbital Ray ultimate ability.
  • Juno will be playable from July 19 to 21 as a preview before her official debut.

Blizzard has officially revealed the brand-new Overwatch 2 Support hero Juno. Blizzard gave fans their first glimpse at Juno at last year's BlizzCon. At the time, Blizzard confirmed that the new character would be coming to the Overwatch 2 roster as part of Season 12, and showed off some of her concept art.

Back then, Juno was simply known by the codename "Space Ranger," and fans didn't know what they could expect from the character's kit. With Overwatch 2 Season 11 winding down, the teases for the new Support hero have been ramping up, with Juno's rocket landing on the Dorado map. Now Blizzard has fully pulled the curtain back on Juno's abilities.

Juno's weapons include her Mediblaster, which heals allies and damages enemies, as well as her Pulsar Torpedoes, which lock on to enemies and allies and function similarly to the Mediblaster. Juno can also use her Glide Boost for increased movement speed, deploy her Hyper Ring to increase the movement speed of allies that move through it, and take advantage of her Martian Overboots Passive, which lets her double jump and hover. Juno's Ultimate is the Orbital Ray, which heals allies and boosts their damage output. Juno's kit makes it seem like she should be a pretty simple and straight-forward Support hero to use, so it will be interesting to see how popular she is once she's added to the roster in August.

When Can You Play as Juno in Overwatch 2?

  • July 19 through July 21
  • At the start of Season 12 on August 20

Overwatch 2 fans who are anxious to play as Juno for themselves should note that the new Support hero will be playable in the game for a limited time beginning July 19. Juno will be playable from July 19 to July 21 as a sort of test run before she makes her official debut with the start of Overwatch 2 Season 12 on August 20.

Overwatch 2 Season 12 featuring a brand-new hero should make it an especially exciting one for fans of the game, and potentially draw in those who may have skipped Season 11. Of course, Juno won't be the only thing for Overwatch 2 fans to look forward to in Season 12. That being said, the rest of Blizzard's plans for Overwatch 2 Season 12 have yet to be revealed, so fans will have to stay tuned for more information on that front.
