Overwatch Fan Shares Neat Thrift Shop Find That Has Players Nostalgic For The Old Days
A fan of Overwatch makes an incredible find at a thrift shop that has players reminiscing about the original game before it became Overwatch 2.
However, the end of one Overwatch 2 season means the beginning of another, and Blizzard just recently teased what is coming in the new update. Titled Spellbinder, the short video teaser Blizzard shared confirmed little about the season so far, cycling through Halloween-themed decorations around nighttime versions of familiar Overwatch 2 maps set to ominous, mystical music. That said, between the teaser, the season’s name, and the hints Blizzard gave on Twitter, it is safe to say Spellbinder will probably involve witches, warlocks, or other magical Halloween elements.
Overwatch 2 Season 13: Spellbinder Teaser
Luckily, Overwatch 2 fans won’t have to wait until the season launches on October 15 to find out exactly what’s in store for them. The full Season 13 trailer for Overwatch 2 will be revealed on October 10 at 9 AM PDT. Players can expect to see skins that will be available on the in-game store and the Battle Pass, including the new Mythic skin, as well as in-game events, game modes, and other features coming in Season 13.
There has not been a Mythic skin for a tank hero in Overwatch 2 since Grand Beast Orisa in Season 8, which ran from December 2023 until February 2024. This means it has been close to a year since fans have gotten a new Mythic skin for the defensive role, so many players are hoping to see one for a hero like Ramattra, Zarya, or other tanks who haven’t gotten many skins from past Battle Passes.
Beyond the Battle Pass, Overwatch 2 is crossing over with My Hero Academia during Season 13. Set to begin a couple of days after Spellbinder, the collaboration gives Juno, Kiriko, Tracer, Reaper, and Reinhardt skins inspired by characters from the popular anime. Additionally, Season 14 will likely introduce a new Tank hero to the game, so fans can expect to learn more about the mysterious Overwatch 2 character in the next couple of months.
