Overwatch 2 just released the preview trailer for Season 17, Powered Up, teasing the new skins, events, maps, and other features coming to the game in the release. Between two Mythic skins at season launch, the new Aatlis Flashpoint map, and several in-game events, players have plenty of reasons to look forward to the next major update for Overwatch 2.

Season 17: Powered Up comes to Overwatch 2 on June 24, bringing a fresh wave of content to Blizzard’s first-person shooter. While perhaps not as game-changing as Overwatch 2 Season 16’s Stadium game mode and Freja, the newest damage hero, it still introduces a bunch of features to keep things interesting, including the Aatlis map, map voting, and a bunch of skins and events.

Now, Overwatch 2 has officially given fans a first look at the content coming in the update. For the first time ever, Overwatch 2 is releasing two Mythic skins at season launch: Mythic Horang D.Va, transforming the M.E.K.A. Pilot into the ferocious spirit of the Siberian tiger, with customizations inspired by Sister Sun and Brother Moon, and Reaper’s Steel Death Mythic Weapon skin, deadly shotguns that flare with dark energy and consume foes in swirling shadows. The Battle Pass and shop also get a bunch of new skins, including 8-bit skins for Reinhardt, Genji, Sombra, Orisa, and Zenyatta, and Overwatch Academy-themed school skins for Cassidy, Junkrat, Widowmaker, Sigma, Juno, Kiriko, and Soldier: 76.

Meanwhile, Esperanca and Samoa are both being adapted for and added to Stadium, and Map Voting is coming to Competitive Play, allowing players to choose between one of three random maps before each game.

In addition to the new maps, Sigma, Junkrat, and Zenyatta also come to Stadium in this Overwatch 2 update, along with the Stadium Forge – a system that allows fans to create, save, and share build loadouts for each hero. Season 17 will also feature the mode’s first rank reset, Competitive Drives, Custom Games, and Unranked Mode with crossplay.

Several events will take place during Season 17, including the Powered Up Event for the first week of launch that awards up to four Epic Loot Boxes. From July 15 through 28, players can also enjoy Hacks & Hijinx, a limited-time 6v6 Control game mode with random chaotic modifiers for each match, such as low gravity, Ultimate-charging health packs, and more. The Summer Games will also likely take place in the next couple of months.
