Though it might not technically be the first of its genre, Overwatch is possibly the most influential hero shooter out there, and a good deal of its success can be chalked up to the game's ever-growing roster of iconic characters. From OG staples like Tracer, Reaper, and Winston, to more recent additions like Lifeweaver, Mauga, and Venture, Overwatch 2 is filled with diverse and varied heroes, and its newly revealed Space Ranger looks like yet another great addition to the team.

Officially announced to be in the works during BlizzCon 2023, Overwatch 2's Space Ranger hero has just been revealed in their entirety. Named Juno, Overwatch 2's latest Support hero has just returned to Earth after a lengthy stint on Mars, and they've brought a wealth of Sci-Fi equipment with them. From a new type of Support weapon to a visually stunning Ultimate, Overwatch 2's Juno has quite a few rather impressive abilities.

Overwatch 2's Quick Play: Hacked Feels Like It's Testing The Waters

Overwatch 2 has recently added a limited-time Quick Play mode, and it really feels like Blizzard is testing the waters for a big upcoming change.

All of Overwatch 2 Juno's Abilities Explained

Mediblaster - Primary Fire

Like most Overwatch 2 Support heroes, Juno comes equipped with a particularly useful weapon that features both a primary and secondary fire mode. Officially called the Mediblaster, this burst-fire SMG damages any enemies that enter its crosshairs, and heals any allies, looking like a helpful cross between Ana and Tracer's own trusty weapons.

Pulsar Torpedoes - Secondary Fire

Juno's secondary fire is called Pulsar Torpedoes, and it has the potential to be one of the Support hero's most powerful abilities. Pressing the secondary fire button will see Juno lock onto all players in front of them, both allies and enemies. Once locked on, players can press the primary fire button to launch an array of missiles that home onto each designated target. These homing missiles will heal targeted allies gradually over time and damage any targeted enemies.

Overwatch 2's Juno will be briefly available from July 19 to July 21 in every mode aside from Competitive and will come to the game fully on August 20 alongside Season 12.

Glide Boost

An ability not dissimilar from Echo's Flight, Overwatch 2's Juno has access to a Glide Boost ability that will allow her to glide horizontally with increased movement speed. Players should be able to pair this ability well with Juno's Martian Overboots Passive to stay in the air for longer durations.

Hyper Ring

One of Juno's more intriguing abilities, Hyper Ring sees Overwatch 2's Space Ranger hero deploy a large Sci-Fi ring in front of them. Any allies who pass through this large ring get a temporary speed boost. Juno's reveal trailer shows an entire team of five rushing through the ring together, allowing them to reach their objective much faster as a collective unit.

Orbital Ray - Ultimate

With a suitably impressive Ultimate ability, Juno calls in an Orbital Ray that sweeps forward across the battlefield. As the beam travels forward, any allies within the vicinity are healed, and their damage output is increased for the Orbital Ray's duration. This Ultimate essentially acts as a temporary Mercy for the team.

Martian Overboots - Passive

Finally, there's Juno's Passive ability. Called Martian Overboots, this Passive allows Juno to double jump while in the air. Much like characters like Echo and Mercy, holding down the jump button will also allow Juno to hover in mid-air briefly.
