It seems like developer Blizzard isn't stopping with massive Overwatch 2 updates. According to a report by MTN, Blizzard is allegedly already planning its next Overwatch game, and that it tapped The Finals developer Nexon to create a mobile game. Blizzard has reportedly been bidding with major Korean game companies since the fourth quarter of 2024, offering the service rights for "Overwatch Mobile." It's still unknown if the upcoming game will be named Overwatch Mobile, and the devs are said to be calling it "Overwatch 3" internally, which could suggest that this might bridge the gap between the console version and the alleged mobile version.

Who is Nexon, Overwatch Mobile's Rumored Developer?

As mentioned, Blizzard is rumored to be working with Nexon for its new Overwatch game. Nexon is best known for developing and publishing The Finals under its subsidiary Embark Studios. The Finals is a popular team-based PvP shooter that allows players to alter, exploit, and destroy their environment to achieve certain goals in matches.
