Paleo Pines includes various collectibles for players to interact with and log in their dino journal as they forage and explore the landscape. One such collectible in Paleo Pines are dreamstones, glowing, pink crystals that also serve a functional purpose as a necessary object for a dinosaur's sleeping pen. However, they are often well hidden or locked behind secret areas, with several dreamstones to locate in Dapplewood alone, one of the game's explorable maps.

Paleo Pines: All Dreamstone Locations In Veridian Valley

Dreamstones are an essential item in Paleo Pines, and here is where players can find them.

While there aren't as many to find compared to Veridian Valley, finding all dreamstones in Dapplewood can also prove a tricky task with some necessary prep work to obtain them all.

How To Explore More Of Dapplewood In Paleo Pines

Once players befriend a styracosaurus in Paleo Pines, they can reach Dapplewood, a luscious forest map area northwest of Veridian Valley. While the styracosaurus' smasher ability enables players to explore some parts of Dapplewood, such as the lake area to the southeast, it's necessary to obtain two more types of dinos to reach more of Dapplewood: a stomper dino to break down fallen logs and a slasher dino to clear bushes blocking pathways.

Players must befriend a stomper dino, such as an Ankylosaurus, as the first stomper discoverable in the game. The quickest way to befriend an Ankylosaurus is to break the boulders to the southeast of the Veridian Valley map with a Smasher dino. This action won't unlock the entire desert map yet, but it leads to the Ankylosaurus dinos with the Stomper ability.

After gaining the Ankylosaurus' trust within approximately a few in-game days, players can ride it to unlock more of Dapplewood and access more dreamstone locations. Players can also find some of the first Slasher dinos in Dapplewood, a Kentrosaurus or a Therizinosaurus.

All Dreamstone Locations In Dapplewood

In Paleo Pines, there are 11 dreamstones to find in Dapplewood, divided into six large and five small ones. Players can find all dreamstones as marked on the map above, with large circles representing the location of large dreamstones and small circles depicting the small variety. Most are only accessible using a smasher, stomper, or slasher dinosaur.

Players should also note that they can only access the southeast lake during certain seasons or weather conditions when the lake dries up, such as on dry days in the Jurassos season. If players try to explore this area during the game's first season, Triassea, they'll notice there's no way to cross the water to reach the dreamstones. However, returning later during Jurassos allows players to explore and unblock the stones, logs, and bushes preventing access to three dreamstones.

Paleo Pines is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
