Upon the release of update 0.195 for Palia, players were introduced to a new skill for the first time, in the form of Animal Husbandry. This update caused quite a lot of buzz among the community, as it enabled players to raise and breed their own creatures on a ranch, unlocking a whole new gameplay mechanic to get immersed in.
While the mechanics may be fairly simple, as is the case with most Palia gameplay mechanics, players will need to dedicate plenty of time and care into their animals to reap the benefits of their hard work. Below is a guide on all ranch animals in Palia and how they are unlocked, along with instructions on how to take one of your ranch animals as a pet companion.

How To Unlock All Ranching Animals in Palia
From the launch of Palia's first new skill, players are given the opportunity to raise and breed their own animals from four different species. Not all of these are available from your first Ranching level, but you will earn enough trust to raise them all once you have put enough time into the skill. Provided you have completed the "Like a Bird" quest, Ranching will be made available after speaking with Delaila at your home plot.

You don't have to purchase every new animal — you can also breed as a means of broadening your animal roster.
How To Take A Ranch Animal as a Pet
In addition to being able to breed and raise your own animals, players also have the opportunity to take their favorite creatures with them as their own pet companion. Players are welcome to take any Peki, Trufflet, or Bumble with them on their journeys through Palia, provided they acquire a handling license for each animal.
Animal licenses can be purchased from the Premium Store for 2,550 Palia Coins per license, which means you will need to spend physical money to be able to do this. It is worth noting that you can also purchase a Peki, Trufflet, or Bumble as a companion for half the amount of Palia Coins, but these ones aren't your own Ranch animals.
Undoubtedly, because of its enormous size and slow movement, Ormuus cannot be equipped as a companion, which means they'll only ever remain at your ranch.
