Palia Crop Growing Guide
Players will get their first Gardening quest from Badruu, the local farmer in Kilima Valley. They start with two Soil, a Makeshift Hoe, and a Makeshift Watering Can. Players must place and till the soil before they can plant crops. The soil can be slotted together easily to make the most of the available space on the Housing Plot. Once the soil is placed, players can use the Makeshift Hoe to till it. The soil will remain tilled for 48 hours. Players can also remove planted seeds using the Makeshift Hoe.
Sometimes, players uncover buried items while tilling soil.
Crop seeds can be purchased from Zeki's General Store in Kilima Valley or made by the Seed Collector using harvested crops. There's also a chance that players will receive them as quest rewards, particularly from Badruu. Every crop has a Garden Effect that makes growing other crops easier. Players can also purchase five Fertilizers from the General Store or harvest their own from Worms and Glow Worms:
- WeedBlock Fertilizer - Fertilizer that prevents the growth of weeds.
- HydratePro Fertilizer - Prevents crops from needing water for one day.
- SpeedyGro Fertilizer - Gives an extra day of growth every day.
- HarvestBoost Fertilizer - Increases the number of crop items gained when harvested.
- QualityUp Fertilizer - Increases the Quality of crops harvested.
