Palia: How To Complete Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow Hidden Quest

One of the hidden quests found in Elderwood, here's how players can complete the quest Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow.

Answering the Call is Elderwood's first story quest, where you try to figure out the mystery behind a strange place that suddenly opened inside the Night Sky Temple. It feels like ancient humans were hiding something from you. There are a few puzzles to crack, too, so here’s a full walkthrough to help you wrap up Answering the Call quest in Palia.

How To Complete Answering The Call Quest In Palia

Before getting into the details of the "Answering the Call" quest, make sure you’ve finished these main story quests in Palia, as it's required for it to show up:

  • Main Vault quests (Waves, Flames, Gales, Roots).
  • Troubled Waters quest
  • Into the Fire quest
  • Up in the Air quest
  • Rooted In Place quest

Once those are done, you’ll get a cutscene where a mysterious person opens a chamber around the ruins, sending purple beams into the sky. After that, Einar will show up at your door to fill you in. If he doesn’t come right away, just talk to the NPCs outside your house and wait a bit. When you finally speak to him, he mentions the Cosmos Protocol Lockdown has been lifted and says Subira wants to meet you at the Night Sky Temple. That’s when the “Answering the Call” quest will unlock.

Meet Subira In The Night Sky Temple

how to complete answering the call quest in palia

To begin, walk to the Night Sky Temple, located southwest of Leafhopper Hills in Kalima Village, and talk to Subira there. She’ll give you a short update on what happened, then leave Hekla and Jina to keep watch while she checks out the new location. Just head north of the temple and interact with her there.

Find A Way To The Other Side

You’ll need to help Subira move forward. Since the path north of the temple is blocked, you'll need to do a bit of digging. Your goal is to find seven logbooks around the temple. Here’s where you’ll find each one:

Record 5

Head east on the second floor and break the floor. Then, go to the first floor, hit the west wall, and pick it up.

V

Record 6

Break the third west wall and pick it up.

%

Record 7

Hit the east wall (the first one in the lobby).

J

Once you’ve collected all seven records, break the second east wall (between where you found Records 6 and 7), hit the ground with your pickaxe, and drop down. Then, climb the north wall underground and destroy the one in front of you to get into the hidden room. After a quick chat, Subira will ask you to take a look at the console in the center.

Inspect The Console

Next, hop into the console and enter this password carefully: 'Qs7?v%J' — it’s made up of letters from each record.

Make sure to type it right, because if you mess up, you’ll have to gather all seven logbooks again.

Look For Clues In The Console Logs And Speak To Subira

After the password works, go check each console tab to gather info about the chamber. You’ll find two clues there pointing toward Elderwood (seems like the story continues there). Once you chat with Subira again, the “Answering the Call” quest ends.
