Kenyatta is a big fan of the Bahari Boys, a popular band in the world of Palia, and is desperate to see their latest show. However, obtaining a pair of tickets is going to be tricky, which is where you come in.
Palia: Adventure On The Horizon Quest Guide
Here's everything you need to know to complete Adventure on the Horizon, a quest with a tricky puzzle in Palia, as well as its rewards.
Palia's For the Boyz quest is a discovery quest launched as part of the game's Solstice Bloom update, wherein you'll need to either track down a Black Pearl or Inyrevn Mermaid if you want to help Kenyatta out. On top of all that, you might also be wondering how to start For the Boyz in Palia as one of the game's many hidden discovery quests.
How To Complete The For The Boyz Quest In Palia
How To Start For The Boyz In Palia
To start For the Boyz in Palia, there are a couple of pre-requisites you need to tick off first, which are as follows:
- First up, you'll need to raise your friendship levels with Kenyatta and Tish to a minimum of level 2 friendship. You can do so by chatting to them, completing specific quests, giving them gifts, and fulfilling their Weekly Wants.
- You'll also need to complete Kenyatta's Back in Town quest, a discovery quest triggered by randomly finding the Bahari Boyz Record in one of Palia's Rummage Piles.
As soon as you've completed Back in Town, you can then speak with Kenyatta to start For The Boyz.
How To Ask Around To See Who Has Tickets
The first objective in For the Boyz is to see who might have tickets for the Bahari Boyz show. If you're not sure where to start, look for the 'For the Boyz' quest marker on specific NPC icons on the map, which include Zeki and Tish. Speak to Zeki and Tish, then return to Kenyatta to tell her what you discovered. If you're looking for Zeki, you'll probably find him in the Underground or in his shop.
It turns out that Zeki can get you the tickets from the Black Market - for a price. Alternatively, Tish has tickets she is happy to share if Kenyatta makes her some lightsticks in return. It's up to you to choose what way to get the tickets, which involves either getting a black pearl for Tish's lightsticks or catching an Inyrevn Mermaid in exchange for Zeki's help.
Depending on what choice you prefer, you can select either of the following dialogue options as pictured above. Whatever option you choose, you can still track down the other later on outside the quest if you wish. However, you won't be able to give Zeki the Inyrevn Mermaid as part of the quest if you choose the Black Pearl option, or vice versa.
Where To Find A Black Pearl In Palia
If you picked the Black Pearl option and don't already have the necessary materials, you'll need to travel to the Elderwood to find a Black Pearl in Palia. Specifically, to get a Black Pearl, you'll need to search for Elderclam Mushrooms, which you can find growing on the ground in certain parts of Mauvais Way. Once you've gathered some, you'll need to open any Elderclam Mushrooms you collected from your inventory to check what's inside. They'll either have Elderclam Mushroom Meat or, more rarely, and if you're lucky, a Black Pearl. However, you may need to find and open many Elderclam Mushrooms for the chance of getting a Black Pearl.
Once you've got a Black Pearl, you'll also need the following items for the lightsticks:
- x2 Palium Bars - crafted from Palium Ore mined in the Elderwood or purchased from the Mining Guild.
- X1 Light Bulb - purchased from the Blacksmith in Kilima Village for 140 Gold or crafted using 2 Glass Panes via a Glass Furnace.
To make Palium Bars in Palia, you'll need to unlock the recipe from Hodari once you reach level 6 in mining, which costs 500 gold. If you don't already have it, you'll also need to buy the Fine Pick recipe from him for 1,500 gold, as you'll need it to mine Palium from rock nodes with blue stones. Although Palium Ore used to be located in Bahari Bay, it's now found in the Elderwood, such as near cliffsides and close to the Red Blossom Cave entrances. You'll need x5 Palium Ore to craft one Palium Bar using at least a Basic Smelter.
Where To Catch An Iveryn Mermaid In Palia
If you went with the Inyrevn Mermaid option, you'll also need to travel to the Elderwood to catch one. Inyrevn Mermaids are an epic fish in Palia worth 1,220 gold that you can find in ponds and rivers anywhere in the Elderwood, such as the waterfall behind the Central Stables fast travel point. You can catch them at any time of day, but you'll need to use Glow Worms. You may need to catch many other types of fish before you find one, but using Major Safe Zone Boost hooks and consuming Fisherman's Brew could also help you catch one when it eventually appears.
Once you have got an Inyrevn Mermaid, return to Zeki to ask about getting the tickets.
If you're struggling to get any materials for the quest, you can also try requesting some via Palia's item request system.
For The Boyz Quest Rewards In Palia
The final step in For the Boyz is to wait for Kenyatta's visit and collect your rewards. This can take a bit of time, but you can expect Kenyatta to show up at your plot for a short chat. If you picked the Black Pearl option, Tish will also be there. Once you've spoken with Kenyatta a final time, you'll complete the For the Boyz quest and get the following quest rewards for your efforts:
- x1 Star-Quality Sapphire
- Increased friendship with Kenyatta and/or Tish
