How To Get To Elderwood in Palia
How to Start the Elderwood Expansion (Elderwood Map Location)
Whether you're a Palia veteran or are new to the game, you can start the Elderwood expansion immediately by locating and traveling through the entrance on the map that takes you to Elderwood. You can find the entrance to Elderwood in The Outskirts, northwest of Bahari Bay at point B-2 on the map, to the southwest of Tamala's house, as marked on the map pictured above. Here, you'll find a large doorway with tree roots growing out of it, which acts as a gate to Elderwood. Head through it to enter the Elderwood zone after a short loading screen.
If you're traveling to the Elderwood entrance from Kilima, you could head there on foot or fast-travel to one of Bahari Bay's fast-travel points to break up the journey once unlocked, with the nearest one to Elderwood being Bahari - The Outskirts.
Although Singularity 6 recommends you complete various Palia main story quests to get caught up with some Elderwood systems requiring main story progression, you can still jump into the Elderwood expansion straightaway. You also don't have to complete all the Night Sky Bundles in Palia's Night Sky Temple to get started. The recommended main quests to complete to catch up with the main story are as follows:
- 'Vault of the Waves'
- 'Vault of the Flames'
- 'Vault of the Gales'
- 'Vault of the Roots'
- 'Troubled Waters'
- 'Into the Fire'
- 'Up in the Air'
- 'Rooted In Place'
If you've already done the above quests, you'll see the Elderwood opening cinematic on loading into the game, which automatically starts the next questline with Palia's 'Answering the Call' quest. After completing this, there's another main story quest from Subira called 'The Elderwood' that gets you entering and exploring the Elderwood zone to see what Nai'o is doing there.
