On September 22, Palworld surprised fans by unveiling an upcoming collaboration with first-person shooter Ultrakill. Though no timetable for the gun-themed crossover was confirmed as of this writing, Pocketpair stated that gear and weapons from Ultrakill would arrive in Palworld in a future content update.

Originally launched in September 2020, Ultrakill was created by Finnish game developer Arsi "Hakita" Patala. Taking inspiration from the Doom series, Ultrakill puts players in control of a bloodthirsty robot called V1. With further gameplay inspirations taken from Quake and Devil May Cry, Ultrakill allows players to hunt down various foes in a campaign loosely based on Dante's Inferno. In February 2025, Ultrakill received a graphical and technical overhaul in preparation for future content patches. Despite being in early access, Ultrakill currently maintains an Overwhelmingly Positive rating of 96% on Steam.

Nintendo challenges parts of Pocketpair's defense in the Palworld patent lawsuit, a move that could weaken the defendant's position.

Palworld Is Crossing Over With Ultrakill

After revealing Palworld: Palfarm as a separate project in development, Pocketpair confirmed another crossover following the success of the Terraria collab. Palworld and Ultrakill will team up for a future event, though the crossover's launch is currently unknown. A banner featuring Palworld's Anubis and Ultrakill's V1 was shown on social media. Pocketpair stated that some weapons from Ultrakill will be available in Palworld, though it is unclear which weapons would be included in the crossover once it goes live. The collaboration will be the second one that Palworld will do with another hit game, as it released the Terraria crossover update in June 2025. Palworld's collaboration with Terraria saw enemies like the Eye of Cthulhu and the Moon Lord appear as bosses, along with weapons like the Terraprisma sword.

The reveal came amid a busy time for Palworld. Despite its ongoing copyright lawsuit against Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, Pocketpair confirmed that Palworld would leave early access and aim for a full launch sometime in 2026. However, a precise date for Palworld' s 1.0 launch remains elusive. If Pocketpair's 2026 window is anything to go by, Palworld' s early access window would last over two years before reaching its 1.0 launch. Pocketpair also said that fewer updates for Palworld would be launched during early access, as the development team shifted its resources towards developing the game's 1.0 release.

Given that both Ultrakill and Palworld have an emphasis on firearms, it is highly likely that the collaboration will draw upon that fact. Only time will tell when the crossover will launch its respective pieces of content for fans to enjoy.
