A Palworld player managed to do something only a few ever get to pull off: they caught an Alpha Pal in one throw against very slim odds. It's not easy to catch Alpha Pals in Palworld, which is why it's really amazing that RNG and luck were on their side.
Palworld has creatures called Pals that the player can catch. Palworld also has legendary bosses called Alpha Pals that prove to be more powerful than most of the critters in the game.
Palworld: How to Find and Catch Univolt
Here's everything you need to know about Univolt, an electric Pal in Pocketpair's hit open-world game Palworld.
Redditor NBAKefka posted their gameplay footage on the Palworld subreddit of them encountering the Alpha Pal Frostallion in the Palpagos Islands. From a distance, they threw just one Ultra Sphere at Frostallion, which initially registered a 1.73% chance of capture. After a moment, the percentage went up to 14%, until it went straight to 100% on the third count. The quick catch took less than 30 seconds, and NBAKefka managed to avoid a whole headache of a battle.
Palworld Player Catches Alpha Pal With 1.73% Chance of Capture
While this lucky shot was no doubt impressive, other players have been hard at work finding ways to take down Palworld bosses in one go. Tactics people have discovered include building a Palbox close to the Alpha Pal and kiting it to the base so that all the Pals will attack it, and making a Jetragon fall from a great height because its AI doesn't make it fly when standing in midair. Palworld is well-crafted, but there are clearly some lapses developers Pocketpair has overlooked.
The developer is hard at work patching Palworld as much as it can to ensure players have a great experience in the game. The recent update released last February 7 made the game a lot more stable. The update fixed a major issue where the game would crash if a guild collectively had 7000 Pals along with other problems.
The furor from Pokemon fans has been fiery, with Pocketpair employees already getting death threats from passionate loyalists, who believe that Palworld seems to be plagiarizing designs from the iconic franchise. However, all the issues are just not deterring players from falling in love with Palworld, which has proven to be a solid game despite its similarities to Pokemon. The game didn't take long to become a top seller on Steam, and Pokemon fans will have to live with all the positive sentiments for now.
