There are all kinds of Pals to catch in Palworld, with a host of additional creatures to collect and more in the game's Tides of Terraria update. One such addition is Gloopie, a Dark and Water Pal with a striking, jellyfish-like gloomy appearance. If you're keen on grabbing a Gloopie for your collection as number 151 in the game’s ever-growing Palpedia, you'll likely want to know where to find Gloopie within Palworld's extensive map and how to catch one.
How to Catch Neptilius in Palworld
Neptilius is one of Palworld's legendary beasts, and it's a bit of a journey to find them. Here's how to add them to your Palpedia.
Like some of the other Pals added in the update, Gloopie offers some handy benefits if you're fond of fishing in Palworld, as well as possessing other stats and uses to take advantage of at your base of operations and beyond. Here's what to know about Gloopie's location in Palworld, capture tips, and uses.
Where to Find Gloopie in Palworld
To find Gloopie in Palworld, during daytime hours, you'll need to head to the Isle of Decayed Treasures, a Shipwreck Island located southeast of the Eastern Wild Island, as pictured above. Once there, you won't need to travel far to track down a Gloopie, which you can typically find roaming around in small gangs along the coast or floating around solo.
It also doesn't matter what time of day you begin the hunt, as you can find Gloopie during the day or at night. However, you can also find Gloopie more widely across the map at night when its habitat's scope stretches further on the map, including around the coast not far from Fisherman's Point — and further inland across and north of the volcanic area southwest of the map.
How to Catch Gloopie in Palworld
To catch a Gloopie in Palworld, it's best to bring along several standard Pal or Mega Spheres to capture one after wearing down its health. You may be able to catch one with a standard Pal Sphere, but a Mega Sphere can also do the trick. As Gloopies tend to hang out in groups, it's also best to try to isolate one from the pack to avoid an all-out battle. You could try picking off one of the stragglers at the back of the line and focus your efforts on capturing it, but you'll probably find one soon wanders off by itself anyway.
Although Gloopies won't attack you on sight like other Pals and tend to change direction, don't be fooled by their passive nature. Gloopies possess a nasty Shadow Burst attack that damages and blinds you and a water ball attack called Hydro Jet, so you'll want to try to avoid those as much as possible. Gloopies can also vary in level, with the ones around the Isle of Decayed Treasures typically being around levels 10-20.
Low-level weapons like basic bows and arrows won't do much damage against Gloopie. If you don't have any high-damage weapons on hand, you could also try weakening Gloopie from the air using a flying mount, such as using Nitewing's Air Cannons followed by a Pal or Mega Sphere to capture it. Just be careful to avoid using Tornado Attack, which can take poor Gloopie out in one hit. When defeated, Gloopies may drop Pal Fluids or Gloopie Tentacles.
When exploring the Isle of Decayed Treasures, it's also best to watch out for groups of aggressive Turtacles that can soon start pummeling you with projectiles. If you want to avoid them, try returning at night when most of them should be asleep, letting you focus on finding and catching Gloopies around the island.
How to Catch Frostplume in Palworld
Frostplume is one of the most elegant-looking Pals found in Palworld, but they're not easy to find. Here's how to add this Pal to your collection.
Gloopie Stats and Uses in Palworld
As a Dark and Water-type Pal, Gloopies can work at your base of operations, doing watering tasks like watering crops and using water-powered structures like the Mill, plus general transportation and handiwork tasks (all at level 2). However, Gloopies also possess a unique Partner Skill called Sticky Princess, which can help when fishing in Palworld. During the fishing mini-game, Sticky Princess causes the capture gauge to reduce slower when capture bars aren't overlapping. If you enjoy fishing in the game, you may get the best use of having Gloopie in your party when fishing to help with the mini-game, which can be tricky.
Given Gloopie's offensive capabilities, you can also bring it along in combat to use the Shadow Burst and Hydro Jet skills against foes. In Palworld, Gloopy has the following stats and active skills:
- Attack - 200
- Defense - 127
- Work Speed - 49
- Shadow Burst - discharges dark energy (power of 55).
- Hydro Jet - Throws a high-speed water ball (power of 30).
In addition, Gloopie also has the passive Runner skill, giving a 20% increase to movement speed. Furthermore, if you're interested in breeding in Palworld, it may also be possible to breed Gloopie with other suitable Pals, plus hatch Gloopie from a Large Damp Egg.
