The Halloween update for Palworld will be released on October 23, likely featuring some limited-time activities that involve Zoe and Depresso. This won't be Palworld's first spooky-season celebration, as last year it launched a Halloween update that gave fans freebies and addressed a number of issues with the game, which is in early access.

During Palworld's 2024 Halloween event, all players received four free skins: Halloween Cattiva, Spectacled Katress, Pirate Pengullet, and Halloween Croajiro. The update was introduced with a teaser trailer that showcased these skins and set the tone for the in-game celebration. Now, almost a year later and with the full version nearing release, developer Pocketpair appears ready to bring back the Halloween vibes, potentially with a more in-depth event than last year's.

Fortunately for fans, the wait for Palworld's next major event won't be long, as Pocketpair has announced that it will begin on October 23. Celebrating Halloween, the festival will likely center on two well-known characters, Zoe and Depresso. Pocketpair teased that during the event, mysterious creatures in Depresso costumes will roam Palpagos Islands, while Zoe Rayne will appear in a strange, witch-like outfit. It's unclear how these spooky elements will impact Palworld's current mechanics and gameplay, but the event starting nearly a week earlier than last year's celebration suggests it may offer more than just free skins and Halloween decorations.

Palworld 1.0 is Probably Just the Tip of the Iceberg

Developer Pocketpair previously shared that, due to the development team focusing on the game's full release in early 2026, this year's winter update won't be as large as last year's Feybreak patch.
