Alpha Pals are some of the strongest pals you can catch in Palworld, and they make a great addition to your squad. However, before you attempt to take them down, you must put in a lot of preparation since they are difficult to capture.

When you start the game, most of the Alpha Pals will be at a much higher level than you. However, with proper planning and the right squad, you can catch any Alpha Pals, even if they are overpowered.

Making Gold in Palworld can feel like a roll of the dice at times. Thankfully, there are some very specific ways to make a ton of money quickly.

Prepare to Battle Alpha Pals

Palworld Alpha Penking

Alpha Pals can be found across the map and are easy to discover as all of them are marked on the map for you. Some of them roam around in the open, while some of them are found inside dungeons.

As you prepare to take down an Alpha Pal, you first need to get some high-level Pal spheres. Ensure you have some Mega Sphere, Giga Sphere, Hyper, or even higher-level spheres if you have unlocked them. Since Alpha Pals have a lower capture rate, you should keep a good number of spheres in your inventory, as you might have to attempt a few times before you manage to capture them.

Your First Alpha Pal

The first Alpha Pal you will encounter will likely be Mammorest near the first spawn location. However, Mammorest is at level 38; thus, it will be very hard to catch at the beginning. The Level 11 Chillet can be a good choice to begin your Alpha Pal hunting journey.

As you keep exploring the map and unlock more and more fast travel locations, you will discover new Alpha Pal locations. Some will be comparatively lower and much easier to catch than others. Begin with the lower-level ones, then target the higher-level Alpha Pals as you progress.

Team To Take On Alpha Pals

Next, you must work on forming the best squad of pals to take down an Alpha Pal. Since most Alpha Pals might be much stronger, you should keep plenty of backup pals to attack. Remember, the Alpha Pal only has one life, but you have five in your squad. So make sure you make the most out of it.

Follow the Palworld type chart, and try to keep a mix of pals from the type that will be stronger against the Alpha Pal you are targeting. Keep a few different pals of the same type in your squad, and use them in battle one after the other.

How to Catch Alpha Pals

Chillet

It's time to get into action once you are done with your preparation. Travel to the location of the Alpha Pal you are targeting, and then initiate the battle. Some Alpha Pals, like Kingpaca, will be surrounded by their guard; take the guards down first and then proceed with the main target.

It is highly recommended to send your lower-level pals first, who can dish out some early damage and take down your opponent’s health as much as possible. Once the Alpha Pal has lost considerable health, deploy one of your strongest pals against it.

But don't forget, your main target is to capture and not kill it. Once the Alpha Pal is down to its last bit of health, recall your pal, and then throw a sphere to try and catch it. If the Regular Pal Sphere is not working, try with Mega Sphere or Giga Sphere. Higher-level Alpha Pals normally require higher-level spheres to be captured.

However, if you have accidentally killed an Alpha Pal, don’t worry; they respawn at the same location after one in-game day. You have to wait for one day and replay the battle again. You can also use their respawn to capture as many of the same Alpha as you want.
