There are plenty of new adventures and treasures to seek out to find in Palworld's Tides of Terraria (v0.6.0) content update, the game's first true collaboration with another beloved game IP. Along with various new Pals to collect, not to mention fishing, there's a unique Terraria-inspired raid boss to take on, if you're feeling gusty.

The Moon Lord is one of the most challenging raid bosses yet in Palworld, so you'll need to know what to expect before summoning this Cthulu-type foe to the battlefield.

How to Find Sealed Realm of Terraria Dungeon in Palworld

The Moon Lord raid boss is one of the additions in the game's Tides of Terraria (v0.6.0) update. You'll need to summon him in a similar fashion to other raid bosses such as Xenolord and Bellanoir, by using a Summoning Altar at an empty base with the appropriate item to trigger the summon.

The item in question that you need is a Celestial Sigil. To find them, you need to start by heading to one of the small isles added in the Tides of Terraria update. The closest point to start from is the Fisherman's Village Fast Travel Point on the southern coast of Mount Obsidian. From there, head southeast and the isle is a relatively short distance across the water. Either a fast flying or swimming Pal can get you there.

Either way, once you reach the isle (seen above), head up the stairs to the platform where you'll find the entrance to the Sealed Realm of Terraria dungeon. Be mindful that this is a Level 45 dungeon, so make sure to head inside prepared. The dungeon itself is decked out in a classic Terraria vibe, albeit in similar layout design to other dungeons in the game.

Navigate your way through the different paths until you arrive at this grand archway. You'll notice that the ambient music stops when approaching it as well. Head through and up the stairs until you arrive at the dungeon's boss - the Eye of Cthulu. It's a Level 45 boss, so pull out your best weapons and a Pal if need be. Despite its unique appearance compared to other Pals in the game, this boss can be captured, if you so wish.

Defeating this boss will immediately reward you with the Eye of Cthulu Mask (Legendary head armor). Open the two chests at the dungeon exit to get a schematic for a Celestial Sigil. You can repeat this dungeon as many times as needed for more Hallowed Bars, but you only need the schematic once. If you happen to lose it for any reason, however, you get more schematics from the dungeon as well.

Return to your base and use your acquired schematic to craft a Celestial Sigil. While you're welcome to use an Advanced Civilization Workshop station (Level 61) to craft it, a Production Assembly Line II station (Level 42) will work just as well. You'll need 100 x Hallowed Bars to craft the Celestial Sigil. Once done, make sure to prepare a Summoning Altar (Level 32) if you haven't already. That will require 100 x Stone and 20 x Paldium Fragments.

Set up your Summoning Altar at a base empty of any valuable structures. Place your most powerful Pals into the base's roster, as those Pals will assist you in the fight alongside your designated party. Raid bosses are no walk in the park, so muster all the firepower that you can.

Walk up to the altar and place the Celestial Sigil inside. This will summon Moon Lord, who is a Level 50 boss with no designated elemental type and just over 400,000 health points. He's a stationary boss, so don't expect any sort of physical charging or jumping attacks. However, he'll unleash barrages of energy orbs and beams toward you and your Pals, so staying mobile is paramount to dodge them.

How to Beat Moon Lord Raid Boss

Your goal here is to target the eyes on both of Moon Lord's hands and the eye on his head. These are the only parts on his body that can be damaged. Once those are destroyed, a hole in his chest will open, which you then need to target as well for massive damage. Because of the distance to these targets, using a long-range weapon such as the Assault Rifle, Guided Missile Launcher, or Laser Rifle is highly recommended.

Upon defeating Moon Lord, potential rewards include:

  • Training Crystal
  • Life Pendant +2
  • Attack Pendant +2
  • Defense Pendant +2
  • Ancient Civilization Core
  • Ruby
  • Ancient Civilization Parts
  • Power Lotus (S)
  • Life Lotus (S)
  • Stamina Lotus (S)
  • Speed Lotus (S)
  • Carrying Lotus (S)
  • Life Fruit
  • Power Fruit
  • Stout Fruit
  • Legendary-tier Meowmere sword
  • Moon Lord Mask (Legendary-tier)

Can you Capture Moon Lord in Palword?

palworld-photo-mode-pose

While other raid bosses in the game can be caught and used just like other Pals, Moon Lord is a slightly different situation. As of right now, Moon Lord cannot be captured with any type of Pal Sphere. As disappointing as this undoubtedly is for Pal collection enthusiasts and Terraria fans, this may very well change in a future update. His overall character design and stationary battle mechanics may pose a challenge with regards to how it would work alongside players.

However, as flexible as the game has become since its release, there may yet be hope that we'll get to wield a Cthulu-style Pal against the fiercest of foes in Palpagos.
