The previous V0.3.1 Update for Palworld brought many new additions for both returning players and new players to enjoy. From the new island of Sakurajima filled with new Pals to discover and capture, to new mechanics, craftable items, and unlockable to obtain, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

However, one of the most popular new additions to the game is the ability to edit the cosmetics of your Pals and place them in various outfits. To achieve this, players will need to know how they can unlock the facilities required for changing Pal skins, and what resources may be needed along the way. Everything players will need to know about changing Pal cosmetics/skins has been explained in the guide below.

Updated by Grace Black, January 31st, 2025: Palworld has released several more Pal cosmetics since the debut of this mechanic. For this reason, this guide has been updated with all of the latest information regarding all Pal cosmetics in the game and how they could be earned.

How To Change Pal Skins In Palworld

To change the skins of your Pals in Palworld, players will need to unlock and build a facility known as the Pal Dressing Facility. Unlike many other items and facilities in the game, which are restricted to higher levels or the use of Ancient Technology Points, the Pal Dressing Facility can be unlocked from the Technology Menu right from the beginning at level 1.

To build the Pal Dressing Facility after unlocking the crafting recipe, players will need to spend a few resources, as listed below:

Once the Pal Dressing Facility has been crafted and is ready for use, players will simply need to interact with this facility to change the skins of their Pals. By interacting with the Pal Dressing Facility, players can change the skins of both Pals who are active in their party, as well as Pals stored in their Pal Box.

After choosing a Pal, a list of skins will be displayed for this creature, with you able to choose any that you desire. You can also un-equip a cosmetic to the selected Pal from this menu. You can also choose if you equip the skin to just one of that Pal, or all Pals you own of the same species, which is a nice feature.

At this time, there are limited Pal Skins available, with just a single Cattiva cosmetic being added to the game. More Pal skins are likely to be added in future patches and significant updates of the game.

To help give players an indication of which cosmetics are currently available for the Pal Dressing Facility, they have all been listed below.
