Palworld is an open-world survival game where you can catch unique creatures called Pals. While exploring the Palpagos Islands, you will discover a variety of items dropped by Pals, loot chests, and materials from ores, trees, and more. From the start, your character in Palworld has 42 inventory slots for storing items, along with dedicated slots for equipment and food.
How Palworld's Predator Pals Compare to Pokemon Legends: Arceus' Alphas
Palworld's new Predator Pals have reignited the debate about its similarity to Pokemon, whose Alpha Pokemon from Legends: Arceus are close match.
Early on, you won’t face much trouble managing your inventory (unless you tend to pick up every shiny item you come across). However, as you progress, inventory management becomes an essential skill. If you struggle with managing your inventory, Pocketpair has introduced a straightforward way to expand your inventory slots in Palworld.
How To Get More Inventory Slots In Palworld
In Palworld, you can expand your inventory by crafting key items called Pouches. Each Pouch adds three additional slots to your inventory. There are four types of Pouches in Palworld, allowing you to add up to 12 extra slots in total.
Pouches are an Ancient Technology that you can unlock by spending Ancient Technology Points upon reaching specific levels. Below is a list of all Pouches in Palworld and the required levels for unlocking them:
|
Pouch Type |
Required Level |
Ancient Technology Points |
|---|---|---|
|
Small Pouch |
Level 28 |
2 |
|
Medium Pouch |
Level 42 |

|
Large Pouch |
Level 52 |

Giant Pouch |
Level 57 |

Ancient Technology Points are rewarded for defeating an Alpha Pal or a Tower Boss for the first time. Check the map for undefeated boss Pals. Alternatively, you can find Ancient Technology Points in Ancient Technology Manuals hidden inside in dungeon chests. On using this consumable, you will instantly get Ancient Technology Points.
Since each Pouch grants three extra slots, crafting all four will add two additional rows to your inventory. It is advisable to craft lower-tier Pouches first, as they are cheaper and provide the same benefits as higher-tier ones. Ultimately, unlocking all Pouches ensures maximum inventory space.
Crafting Materials For Pouches & How To Get Them
Crafting recipes for Pouches are simple and require only a few types of resources. Here’s a breakdown of the materials needed for each Pouch:
|
Pouch Type |
Materials Required |
Required Production Station |
|---|---|---|
|
Small Pouch |
1 Predator Core, 20 Fiber, 10 Leather |
|
|
Medium Pouch |
5 Predator Cores, 50 Fiber, 20 Leather |
|
|
Large Pouch |
10 Predator Cores, 80 Fiber, 30 Leather, 10 Carbon Fiber |
|
|
Giant Pouch |
20 Predator Cores, 120 Fiber, 40 Leather, 20 Carbon Fiber |
If you’re having trouble finding the required materials, here’s how you can gather them effectively:
- Predator Cores: An exclusive drop from rare Rampaging Pals, also referred to as Predator Pals. They can be found on most islands, excluding the starting regions. Level 20–30 Predator Pals drop one Predator Core, while Level 60 ones drop up to four. Feybreak Island is among the best spots for farming them. Alternatively, lower-level players can target Rampaging Direhowl on Ice Wind Island or Rampaging Relaxauras near the Bridge of the Twin Knights.
-
Fiber: It can be produced by using a Crusher to turn one piece of Wood into two Fibers. Setting up a Logging Site provides a steady supply of Wood, which can be converted into Fibers as needed.
-
Leather: Though commonly dropped by Pals like Rushoar and Eikthyrdeer, Leather is more efficiently obtained by purchasing it from Wandering Merchant NPCs. You can find these merchants in the Small Settlement (71, -472) or near Marsh Island Church Ruins (428, -269).
-
Carbon Fiber: It can be crafted from Coal or Charcoal on a Production Assembly Line. Charcoal is easier to obtain by burning Wood in a furnace. Alternatively, you can unlock a Coal Mine at Level 41 for a renewable source of Coal.
Among all the materials, Predator Cores are the most challenging to obtain. However, as long as you prepare well and target Pals near or below your level, defeating Rampaging Pals becomes manageable.
Be cautious of higher-level Predators unless you are well-prepared for a tough fight.
