Palworld is now available for early access, and the fans are already loving the variety of activities that the game presents. The game combines the flavors of Minecraft and Pokemon with survival activities and collecting Pals to build your base and progress.
While exploring the world, the players can catch different types of Pals, which play a vital role in the game. Every Pal can do various tasks, including farming, harvesting, watering, and lumbering, all essential to gathering necessary resources and building the base. To keep them happy and keep them working, it's important to keep them fed.
Palworld: Best Pals To Catch Early
Get your base up and running pronto by catching all the best early game pals in Palworld.
How To Feed Pals
All pals will eventually get hungry after a fight or work. When they do, they will start to lose efficiency and stats, making them ineffective at the tasks they are given. Therefore, you must ensure that your pals are well nourished to maintain good productivity at your base.
In Palworld, there are several methods to feed a pal. You can feed them directly from your inventory, interact with and feed them, or put food in the Feed Boxes.
Feed From Inventory
To feed your Pals from the inventory, you need to collect food items in your inventory. Once you have collected enough food, open your inventory, place your cursor over it, and right-click on it to use it. A menu will pop up, from which you can select a Pal from your party that you want to feed. But remember that you cannot use this method to feed the Pals on your base or box, only the Pals in your party.
Feed With Hands
To feed your pals by hand, use the
Pal Sphere to release a Pal or the Palbox to place them in your base. Next, get close to the Pal and press 4 to start interacting with it. To feed the desired item to your Pal, simply choose the Feed option from the scrolling menu that appears.
Put Food in Feed Boxes
The feeding process may also be automated, saving you from having to feed any Pals manually. For this, you must create a Feed Box, which you will unlock at Level 4. A Feed Box can be crafted with 20 Wood. When a Feed Box is positioned in your base, the Pals will always retrieve food from it whenever they are hungry. But for this system to work, you must ensure that your Pals have adequate food in the Feed Box.
How to Get Food for Pals
Establishing Berry Plantations at your base is the simplest way to provide food for your pals. The Berry Plantation is unlocked at level 5 and requires 3 Berry Seeds, 20 Woods, and 20 Stones to craft. Once you have crafted a Berry Plantation, place it anywhere you want in your base and seed it to start cultivating berries.
Berry Seeds can be obtained from Berry trees across the biome, especially in jungle areas. After sowing the seeds, you may irrigate the Berry Plantation with a water base Pal such as the Pengullet. Your Pals will carry the harvested food from the Berry Plantation to the Feed Box to replenish it.
You can also build a ranch that can house pals like Chikipi, a great source of eggs and meat for the players and the pals. You can also cook these eggs like most other food items. The Ranch unlocks at level 5; you will need 50 Wood, 20 Stone, and 30 Fiber to craft it. Once the Chikipi has been placed inside the Ranch, it will keep producing Eggs that can be used to cook and feed the Pals.
