Wumpo and Wumpo Botan are two particularly helpful Pals you can add to your team or put to work in your base in Palworld. In an unusual twist, the variant species Wumpo Botan is easier to find and catch than the original Wumpo, due to being available as a boss early in the game.

How to Get Wumpo in Palworld

Catching Wumpo will require you to head north to a snowy area called the Astral Mountains. They can be found roaming throughout this icy environment, often in pairs. The easiest way to find them is to walk along the western coast of this area since they often patrol that area and are pretty easy to spot due to their size. They can also be found as Alpha Pals inside dungeons in Tundra, where they will usually spawn at level 45. Bringing a similarly leveled Fire Pal (Perhaps Suzaku to take full advantage of its boost to fire damage) should make weakening it enough to catch it a piece of cake.

Wumpo Stats & Work Suitabilities, Explained

Wumpo is a pretty versatile Pal, with Transporting 4, Lumbering 3, Handiwork 2, and Cooling 2. This means that it can keep your base running smoothly by cleaning up loose items, chop wood for fuel or construction, and operating freezers to keep your food fresh for longer. Naturally, it's best at transporting, but its versatile set of Work Suitabilities means capturing several Wumpo can do wonders for your base's operations.

How to Get Wumpo Botan in Palworld

Wumpo Botan's Work Suitabilities are similar to Wumpo's, though they trade Cooling 2 for Planting 1, allowing them to assist with growing plants by seeding farms. Wumpo Botan's earlier availability, despite being a boss encounter, makes it a very useful mid-game pal at the base, and it remains a strong choice throughout the rest of the game too.
