Wood is an extremely important and probably the main resource you will need at the beginning and during the entire game. Without this common material, you can't create practically anything because even the Shoddy Bed and Primitive Workbench consist of it, so you should learn as fast as possible how to get Wood in Palworld. As we've already mentioned, this is a basic material, so it's not difficult to get, but it's still worth explaining some of the nuances and tips.

Palworld: How to Find Wood
In general, there are several options for how you can get Wood in Palworld, and they are all quite easy to do. To avoid wasting time, let's talk about them in more detail so that you can choose the most suitable for you.
Collect From the Ground
The first and easiest way is to simply collect branches and sticks that you find on the ground. Mostly, beginners use this option because it is much easier to collect the desired amount of wood without tools. Also, this option is perfect for those who like to travel far.
During expeditions, you can explore new locations and collect various items and resources from the ground, including Wood. Thus, you can explore new territories and replenish your stocks of quickly consumable resources.

Guns give players a ton of DPS potential in Palworld, letting them fight effectively alongside their Pals. Here's how to craft your first firearm.
Cut Down Trees
The next method involves cutting down trees with an axe. Of course, you can do this with your bare hands, but then the blows are not effective, so it'll take much longer. Instead, go to your Primitive Workbench and craft a Stone Axe; fortunately, the requirements are not high, just x5 Wood and x5 Stone. Now that you have the axe in your hands, you will cut faster and more efficiently and receive 1 Wood for each hit, which is much more than if you did it barehanded.
Build a Logging Site
The last and probably the most automated method is to build a Logging Site. This is a structure that you can unlock in the Technology tab when you reach level 7. Like the other structures, you will need resources to build it; fortunately, in this case, it is not expensive:
- Palladium Fragment x10
- Stone x20
- Wood x50
Once you unlock, find resources, and build the structure, you can finally use it. It's easy to do; you should just approach it and press the interaction button to start chopping. Now, all that's left is to just stand there and chop wood until you've collected the required amount.
In fact, the Logging Site works quite weirdly because by chopping down ordinary trees, you can farm Wood much faster. This structure was probably made to exploit your Pals with the Lumbering skill. Pals such as Lifmunk, for example, have this skill, and if there are trees or a Logging Site in the area of your base, the animal will start cutting it down. Thus, you can passively farm this resource, which is great news because collecting Wood manually is time-consuming.
