A Palworld gamer has created an incredible Chocobo racing prototype featuring Dazemu as the titular bird. Palworld players have been sharing incredible creations since the game was released, but this may be one of the most unique.
Palworld was released to wide acclaim, and the game broke multiple player count records at the time. Since its launch, players have collected the extensive lineup of Pals and put them to work, created unique custom heroes, and built incredible structures. As players progress through the game, they unlock building options as they acquire new materials. Among the impressive builds shared by the community are a Palworld tree house town, water bases, cozy villages, and an indoor soccer stadium. One gamer has created a Chocobo racing track and has shown the prototype off by taking their Dazemu for a ride on it.
Reddit user HaxleyMODS recently shared a Palworld clip detailing their Chocobo racing prototype. The video begins with the player summoning their Dazemu and immediately mounting it underneath a starting line that's emphasized by a gate made of stone and wood. A signpost indicates that the player must turn right before two others point upward at a jump over an obstruction which the Dazemu effortlessly clears. Dazemu's stamina drains as it runs up a hill and clears another jump before rounding a corner that leads to more gateways and many snowman obstructions on the track. Multiple oases dot the track after a steep drop, forcing Palworld's Dazemu to jump a few more times before reaching the gate from the start of the clip.
This Palworld Player Made a Chocobo-Style Racetrack
According to HaxleyMODS, the racetrack was made using a mod called Rotate It. The listing for this mod confirms that it allows Palworld players to rotate, translate, and scale builds freely. This expands on Palworld's already extensive build tool to enable creative freedom by lifting some of the rudimentary limitations in the game. Since Final Fantasy 7 was released, gamers have bred Chocobos to unlock the most optimal racers. As Chocobo racing became successful from a Final Fantasy mini-game and has received its own spin-off titles, this unique racecourse may be the perfect way to bring back lapsed players. With the obstructions playing a role in slowing the player down, others may discover an optimal way to tackle each one.
As this is just a prototype for Chocobo racing in Palworld, HaxleyMODS may expand on the concept before sharing the finished version. With Pocket Pair Inc. Continuing to update Palworld, new resources, and build options may be added to further improve their vision.
